Improve bots AI please

wow please the game is phenomenal great wonderful but playing with these bots is too discouraging make a correction to these bots please please do not waste having a sensational game with these bots congratulations for the game I would give it 10 but these bots seem like they are just there to demonstrate your position to the enemy or to fill the scenario developers put hardcore in the bots offer immersion in the fights let us rack our brains and try to decide the best form of combat finally I leave my congratulations for the game

With the recent updates, we are seeing signs of improvement. At least they are no longer aware of my presence approaching from behind and no longer snipe at me accurately from any distance.
However, more often than not, I am still in a daze even when the enemy is standing right in front of me. lol
I look forward to further upgrades.

If you are annoyed by bots, you can try lone fighter mod in customs.

Yes, agree with OP :+1:
The bots have recently become braindead-zombies 95% of the time, and are nothing but cannon fodder/and giving away positions to opposing players. I liked them better when they shot back from far distances… But too many people were complaining about being shot across the map by the A.I.
Recently, we got zombie bots as a replacement.

I wouldn’t mind if they took older titles for inspiration like the old Brothers In Arms games. I personally would just like to see ai able to mount and fire mounted MGs positions

this is by design. human players dont enjoy being sniped by aimbot, specially through bushes or on long distances, so devs put ignore player on bots. they are relatively accurate in sniping enemy bots, just that they mostly ignore players (there are some rules on when they target players, but i didnt really study them).

overall bots are there to be cannon fodder and ā€œbattle spawnā€ for when you die.

The key to bots not ruining your experience. Is not to see them as combatants. Just respawns. You will be much happier with that mentality.

I wouldnt mind a longer leash distance, but I also appreciate that if the leash was too long, Bots would be stored in a basement at the back of the map lol.

dont do that
you just cant,
so leave them be the way they are
it is so infuriating when a bot knows where you are.

improving bots = more cheats

:rage:

This improvement can be regard as a promotion for airborne forces because they ususally attack from side or behind. So that they could sell the expensive airborne bundle :money_mouth_face:
AI used to be stuck in corner or rooms and can’t escape themselve in former versions. I’m glad to see it has been improved.
On the other hand, some key problems still remain to be solved, crossing the river in Berlin, Moscow and Pacific; many times AI run ahead and block my gun shooting and AT rocket, causing unnecessay loss. Also, we still cannot understand AI action logic, that means when I aim them, they jump and spin, or instantly lie down to avoid. The artillary called by AI squads also too accurate so that I can’t keep my rally in open-air for a few minutes.
Anyway, I wish for more changes on AI, too.

Look friend, I’ve been playing for a long time and it seems that it’s worse than before I was playing and a group of enemy soldiers passed in front of me and I shot and the bots didn’t even fire a shot, they just shot war tanks I don’t understand the mechanics I think I want the bots could alias there should be much more than just volume in the game because the game is very good very good even a grenade the bots are able to throw and another because whenever we start the game we have our backs to the action kkkk as I say the game is very good good deserves this special attention

oh well, it gets a little even more discouraging that we need their help in certain situations, I know it’s difficult to mix both positive and negative comments, there has to be a middle ground for bots

That sounds like an awful idea. Just today I was using my assaulter squad, fully decked out with top tier SMG’s.
I had my squad ordered in a backroom while I was using my engineer 30m away.
My entire squad got killed by a single player with a Springfield and a knife. He melee killed 3 of my assaulters, and shot the rest.

And I know exactly what happened… He stumbled upon them, and they just stood there staring at him.

So I lost my entire squad, because they’ve been programmed to ignore human players?
That’s completely stupid.

What you’re saying is that whenever someone finds themself in a match that only has 5 human players on the other team, and the other 5 are A.I. controlled squads… that’s there’s only 5 active threats on the battlefield, while the remaining 80 enemy soldiers are nothing more than filler-bots to give the illusion of a battlfield?

Because that’s what it sounds like you just described.
Which is awful. No wonder I’ve had so many matches in the last couple of weeks, where I don’t lose a single squad. My best so far, is 166-0.

Sorry dude, but I find it sad that they’ve programmed the A.I. to cater to the people who want to run-and-gun like Call of Duty.
These are the players who want to be able to run across open terrain, without getting shot. And when they do, they cry about the A.I. auto-aim, and ask for the bots to be programmed into zombies.

It’s one thing when the A.I. instantly turns and shoots a player in the head, the moment the player fires his weapon…
It’s entirely something else, when the A.I just stares at you, and does NOTHING.
Or if they do shoot, they can’t hit the broadside of a barn.

That’s make things even worse. I want to respawn in a safe place with class I want, not with exposed ass in front of my enemy.

That’s what you do when all the bots are dead…In which case, forget them completely. send them in as a decoy to get killed first so you dont have to worry swapping to them.

That’s why I prefer to position them and get 3-5 passive kills.

that’s slightly different. I was just suggesting to not get caught up on them being stupid.

Personally I like to place them individually exactly where I want them, where they have their best chance of getting passive kills, and being out of harms way when I respawn…(most people dont do this)

but that’s just icing on the cake, If they get killed, not bothered.

still is. i could understand if they get stuck when you build rally points in some weird positions, but having them get stuck in default spawn is absolutely terrible.

problem is balance. if you make them useful, they will shoot through bushes and people will complain about cheaters. and if you make them useless people will complain about them being useless.

i would like them slightly smarter, so that they at least look at direction of marker or firefight. many times i die, just to see bot looking 180° from fight, turn 180° towards enemy, die again, switch to another bot that is looking at entirely different direction, just to turn towards enemy and die.

did you see average skill of enlisted player? ffs if bots werent programmed like that, i doubt some of them would even have 5 kills per match.

Well whatever the case, it’s sad to know that whenever I find myself in a mis-matched game, that there’s only going to be a few active threats on the map. While the remaining soldiers exist soley to create the illusion of a battlefield.
Now I’m just gonna play cat-n-mouse games with the A.I.

First we have an issue with not having enough players for full teams…
Now we don’t have enough players, and the A.I has been programmed to cater to the little children who don’t know how to play a FPS.
Totally makes sense… not.

Hi, devs surely working on AI with every big and small updates you can see some changes about it.
