The Maus shouldn’t be unlockable in the game.
There should be a Maus factory map. In the factory, there should be a prototype Maus. Players can enter the seats, and use it to defend the factory. This would be a lot more accurate, and it would give a new, unique map to the game.
I am not sure if it is true, but I remember hearing of German soldiers that used the prototype Maus to defend the factory it was being made in.

the idea is pretty good. They could do similar things on other maps to make them more unique and less monotonous.

It wasn’t the production factory but the Heeresversuchsanstalt Kummersdorf (proving ground near Berlin).
Nope, the two Maus prototypes were blown up before the battle even started so the Soviets couldn’t get it. However one of them stayed mostly unharmed but couldn’t be operated.
Yeah, no. Maus is not the tank you can just kill with an anti-tank rifle or dynamite. In fact, it would not even get any damage.
