I want to get some of these older Italian guns before they become unavailable forever, and I’m nor sure if I should get the scotti mod X or the pavessi M42, which one do you guys recommend?
Pavessi is simply the hardest hitting semi auto rifle of the game… (big recoil, thought).
Scotti is mostly just very elegant. From a more civilized age.
Scotti for me. Sights are good, good recoil, good damage. The ONLY downside is 6 rounds.
I don’t know if it is worth picking it up with it being BR3 though
Most good semis appear in br3, thought, except a token few that perform not as well, such as m1 carbine (low damage even if decent magazine, meh sight) and armaguerra (only 6 rounds per mag, and very low damage for a semi auto rifle).
But, I’d say those are worth it really if you wish to create a full Italian lineup. Since the beretta m1 is still br3, Pavessi would complement well.
I suppose, but playing BR3 now is either be a scumbag and ruin a low tier players day or have a BR5 player curbstomp you out of this universe. I prefer to stick to BR2 because it is somewhat more balanced than T3 and way more fun.
I agree here… I generally stay in BR2 with all factions, even if tier 3 has some of the most interesting stuff (imo).
It’s mostly with the hope, that br 3 will have It’s own queue, making it face br +/-1 maximum, a bit like WT…
Armaguerra and Scotti Mod X are very good weapons. The Armaguerra fully spaded is actually better than the Scotti Mod X, which is also very very good. Probably the best BR II semis in the game. And are competitive at top tier, the only limit are the rounds carried. I have and use all of my Scotti’s in my BR II lineup.
They’re both very similar and it comes down to your playstyle preferences.
The Pavessi hits harder and therefore is more effective at longer range engagements, this tends to offset its greater recoil because you’re potentially not spamming the shots as is also reflected in its slower ROF.
The Scotti on the other hand is marginally more accurate, does less damage but has a greater ROF which might suit you in closer range engagements where the ROF makes more difference.
Either way it comes down to playstyle preferrences. Both sport the 6 round mag so the reload perk is your friend here as well.
Neither, save for kp31 with flamethrower attachment
