IL-2 1941 is too hard to kill, it can shot planes boomb ground .german fighters face IL-2 just like a panzer 3 face IS-3 ,the only way you can shot down IL-2 quickly is face it try to kill pilot,but wait german fighter only have 1 20mm with 60 bullets,but IL-2 have 2 20mm with 420 bullets.IL-2 armor make german MG like spit on it just like WOT "we hit it"and no damage.
ok but for a cas plane it has fuck all ground attack capability

damage models is fucked for every plane, so it’s not just a russian planes, there is also the extreme possiblity here is the hit markers outright lie to you

Disagree, use the machine guns to do a Strafing run, i aways do a double pass.
First run i shoot and shoot the rockets at close the ground, second run same thing, but drop the bombs.
2 mgs + 2 20mm, can kill more than the bombs and the rockets
The only solution for it is aim for the wings. If you are lucky with rng you will rip them a part.

I’m asuming you don’t have any aircraft with cannons, if so, machineguns perform badly against the IL-2, I made a thread about this very topic then I unlocked the BF-109 F2, the 15mm cannon on that thing absolutely shreds.
Bombs are just like any other 50s, and rockets can be good if aimed well. It’s not as good as a 110 ground wise, but it’s decent.
I sometimes emptied whole Pe-3’s bullets but can’t damage a Stuka.
It’s just some weird glitch.
