If you don't heal, you die. It's that simple

Hint: Slow but steady reduction of the health bar after getting injured or keeping health below the maximum level. (This will encourage the role of doctor, of medicines, in all campaigns, and will require adding a squad of doctors in campaigns where they are not yet available.

simply put: bleed out mechanic

Why bother, bodies are dirt cheap. Battle royale-styled healing is already an annoyance more than anything. The whole system needs an overhaul, not more junk thrown on top.

this somehow makes enlisted’s soldier spam feels more realistic kind of like AQiTEF

It would be okay if:

  • No self-healing, only squad members and medics (including bots)
  • No moving

That sounds better than what we have. At the same time it would still be largely pointless as long as we respawn 2-5 seconds away from the enemy. Positioning is nonexistent so healing and reviving is a waste of time.

2 main forces in battle:

  1. objective player - for the it is nonexistent
  2. active flank player - for them it is very existent

well yes, enlisted is more and more shifting into an arcade game instead of a realistic game and frankly, I don’t think most people hate this change.

Then it would make more sense remove medkits (medics too) and just give everyone automatic regeneration to full health. Perhaps leave the ability to revive fallen soldiers a limited number of times, but everything else needs to go (including self-revive which is but a second chance at humiliation). Current map design and overall gameplay would fit that approach a lot more.

i think they keep the game more arcadish to gain more players and eventually shift away from it. I have this feeling because there’s the mechanics that simply doesn’t fit fast arcade game at all like shovels, canteens, binoculars, movement mechanics, all the support classes like medics, mortarmans etc i may be wrong but i hope I’m not

Y key is faster
Next squad spawn is more convinient
medics make no sence besides on lone fighters, that, having one on team is convinient.

They make sense for fast the grind a bit in squad expecially after the last change

The automatic regeneration that provides some advantages of soldier can be replaced by a reduction in the decay rate of the health bar. That would give the soldier more survival time, to find a doctor, a box of first aid kits or eliminate enemies before finally dying, if he doesn’t have enough health kits left.

It also encourages squads in squads mode to ask for help and use the health kits that transport bots as a backup.

effectively an smg buff, because rifles kill “basically” in one shot anyways, and Meta wise definitely not what we need

it was never a realistic game, it was always arcade

Between opening a window and jumping to the other side, or throwing yourself against a window and smashing your head with the window to get to another side, there will be a difference. The first one is safe, the safe one is going to leave you slightly injured.

this is veeery good point, makes me change my mind about this whole thread
