If there was a new game mode, which one here would be best?

King of the Hill

  • A single middle ground point where both parties have to keep secure as long as possible. The game will have a timer of 20 minutes each game. The team that has the most time spent in the capture zone wins.

Dogtags

  • Kill an enemy and pick up their dogtags to confirm the kill and drain enemy tickets. Not picking up the dog tags will only drain enemy tickets by half the rate. Dogtags disappear after five seconds. You can pick up friendy dogtags to replenish one ticket to your team. (Can’t be zero or else people would exploit the game and never pick up the dogtags).

Hardpoint

  • A dynamic capture point that rotates every 30 seconds to a new location out of a possible 10 spots on a map. The spawns for each will be randomized and the balance of rally points would have to be addressed a bit in case a point ends up near a rally. Would it destroy the rally or allow people to spawn directly near a point per-chance? (Would need more feedback for on balancing).

Convoy

  • Escort a convoy of vehicles, manually, to a pre-set destination. These will be heavily resistant to explosives to balance out people spamming TNT or any other explosive. Clever tactics can be to use shovels and block off paths, use czech hedgehogs, excreta to prevent the enemy advances.
  • One nice feature of this idea would be if the convoy side spawns with the convoy, as in, the convoy in itself IS the main spawn areas (roughly within a 20m radius next to it). This can help balance a bit since the pushers would have a slightly grace period of spawn protection if the enemy trapped the convoy.
  • (But as with the Hardpoint idea, this also would need to be discussed on balance a fair bit).

Swarmed

  • An experimental mode where it gives players only a knife to spawn in and have to use the resources of the map to obtain weapons as they fight off a PvE horde of the enemy faction. This would be different as both sides sends their own horde as they build up resources, waiting for the right chance to strike.
  • Once a side is prepared to strike, they have to breach through the horde of enemies (if there are any) and eliminate the other team to win the game. Each player has one life.

for me it would be king of the hill :slight_smile: although I’d rather for devs to focus on improving already existing game modes even more.

in order to fix conquest at least, make any experience action x3 the amount for the lack of time conquest has vs an average invasion match. but yes, i agree here too.

but make the hill huge so you can’t just spam HE
hardpoint probably wouldn’t work for enlisted map sizes

meanwhile… some random person can use the brush tool on the editor and terraform something quickly in under a minute and pretty much be a better concept.

king of the hill is best out of the ones offered. i would prefer it over current conquest, assault and train modes.

but i still see a problem with WP spam in this kind of game mode…

I like king of the hill. Particularly if it has dedicated maps.

Others seem a bit gimmicky / impossible due to too stupid team mates.

Yes they should improve the current modes.

And by improve I mean delete Conquest and Assault.

beside, i’m all for coop and hardcore where players only have one life.
matter of fact, i’m doing just that with the editor ( or miserably trying. the ones that are somewhat close to it, can’t be upload them due to size limits of the portal, and… well, mods do not give xps nor many incentives to play them )

makes for an interesting gameplay.

granted, dealing with AIs can be tricky due to either being trickshooters or headless chickens. but you know.

i risk worth taking.

worth noting that there could be milions of newer gamemodes beside the ones mentioned. but those ones above are all right :+1:

I think it might be better to try larger battlefield. A large ground include the whole map and make the obj include a town.

pve is really hard because you cannot control every soilder at the same time or give them detailed commands

dump the Conquest for sure, although the Assault has some potential in my eyes, it can be tweaked somehow, i believe deeply.

you don’t really need to. they just follow you and shoot things ( or get shot ).

there could be many ways on how to do pves.

weaker bots compared to the players bots, though large in numbers.

same bots efficiency though more respawn tickets for players ( or less. less is always more of a challenge )

Lone fighter PVEs with lots of enemies and few players.

etc.

the ais can be tweaked as well.

in the editor has been found 3 types of bots.

bots that do nothing ( “useful” for civilians or scenary. though teams are gonna shoot it )

bots with questionable aim

and normal bots ( with better reflex and aim than the previous ones.

which you can tweak them to make them more deadlier or less deadly.

assault is worst game mode… only way to save it is to delete it. taking 2 caps at the same time as assaulter is almost impossible with quality of players without being in stack.

sniper only game mode :sunglasses:
hide and shoot.

no squads
no gray zone
no cap point
no kill cam
just hide and shoot. :face_holding_back_tears:
