otherwise for a game perspective, you wouldn’t have much to work towards once you have finished the grind / tech tree.
keeps players engage.
one yes, the other, no.
a matter of opinions.
but in fairness, i’m sorry but having the ability to use planes and tanks are by far more important than having paras.
good luck grinding either tanks or planes ( own tech trees) ( essentially the ones you are missing because you are using one over the other ) with a a paratrooper squad.
like, it’s about priorities.
idk how you would argue that everyone should have pars, opposed to an additional slot.
there, a crusader would be justified. not over limited content ( which it’s already accessible to an extent ) that should for whatever reason become openwide just because some people thinks that it would be a good idea.
Hey I’m fighting by myself here so I’m doing the best I can And experimenting with some glitches and teamwork mechanics that worked out quite well if I were to get a team together
It is a concern, don’t get me wrong. I really don’t think they should be capable of having an engineer specifically, or a flamethrower. Those are the only major concerns in that regard.
My main focus in regards to them is that they need to be more easily countered and not so spammable.
You know what’s mind blowing? Idk who pointed it out (it was someone in the forum) but paratroopers can survive getting smacked by the 20 mm from the AA guns. Absolutely ridiculous.
( and the cannont damage being slighlty nerfed initially as it was used primarily against infantry. then they decided to tweak the view angles but didn’t changed the damage value back )
Solution to the paratroopers: an icon appears on the map like in the artillery bombers and if you shoot down the plane the squadron is annihilated instead of having an early launch
Right paras shouldn’t have engineers to drop everywhere on the map an build ralleys behind the line . In my opinion engeneers should support from the back and not behind enemys lines.
That’s not a reason to lock a whole mechanic.
There is plenty of gear to put in events.
I can take either a tank or a plane. I can’t use both (and it sucks) but I still have access to them. Unlike paras that I simply can’t use no matter what.
I don’t. Maybe in your head but I can’t guarantee.
Well, we had an event where you could grind gold and buy slots for it.
So, using your logic, we already have f2p slots.
This is why I keep suggesting that they add in-game polls. To guage just how many people actually do care about it.
As I explained yesterday, a lot of people don’t use the forums due to other toxic members.
So they need to try to get an accurate count SOMEHOW.
if you do not want to aknowledge them ( which in the past, you did )
that’s another discussion which i’m not having.
as a couple, i need time and space.
jk
because paras are something that you should strive for as a late stage or supplementary role.
they aren’t and should be more important than planes.
which THAT, the lack of being able to run both planes and tanks SUCKS even more than being slighlty forced to wait a bit and grind the event or pay some bucks for it.
because one is a necessity, the other, is not.
but you are just doing that
i highly doubt with 360 gold you could buy a 440 gold slot.
which, the event should aid you to get those said premium squad. not slots.
once again, paras aren’t foundamental. nor they should be.
just some side content that you could and should get if interested.
as a goal. not necessity.
This is why I push so hard for game mechanics that encourage more dynamic gameplay.
When there is something to grind for (tech tree stuff) playing the same game, the same way, over and over has SOME kind of reward. However, once you get that, then the repetitious gameplay gets boring and that is where you lose players.
HOWEVER, if you can introduce better game balance and mechanics (like engineering defenses) that keep the game dynamic, then it continues to be interesting to overcome various challenges and keeps players engaged.
Then events and the rewards there of are more entertaining and useful rather than “just something else to grind for”.
as much i would like people agreeing with every single suggestion and have a smooth reading by avoiding shizo posting or bad takes, that doesn’t make one forum.
just an echo chamber.
which the forum aren’t supposed to be that.
and people afraid to go on a forum because are too hurted by words i’m not sure they were really interested to begin with.
We aren’t looking for an echo chamber or a single mindset. We are looking for people that can have a civil conversation and actually bring solid thoughts and ideas to the table, rather than the toxic people that resort to name calling, spamming “skill issue”, or other various toxic behavior.
Look at you and I. We don’t agree on everything, but we aren’t toxic to one another either because of it.
