They actively try to take cover from the player even in their down state. They also seem to have a probabilistic behavior, the most apparent is being able to throw their grenade at a player.
To make an AI controlled soldier seem smart is to figure out how a real player would react to certain situation and tone that down for it to be a behavior in the AI decision tree. AI controlled bots shouldn’t be so easy to overcome that it become boring nor should it be so hard to deal with that it become frustrating, nobody like to have a reflects competition with an electron racing in the CPU.
The AI is decent at the current state, but they could be improved a bit more by giving the player a clear auditory or visual alert to the current situation in the game, i.e. a tail gunner AI informing of enemy presence “enemy plane at 10 O’clock, high”.
The AI also need to recognize climbable objects as a possible route, many times a player jump through a window only to find out that their AI squad took the long way around the entire building and get killed.
you know i used prone whenever i can but man most place when prone are not really that effective we would maybe need more map that you can prone without being expose all the time
anyway ai could maybe be like in cod 1 or any game with enemy that peak the corner maybe that could help i guess
No ty it will only promote camping in a corner with 6 mines at every entrance. Attackers would never win since they will be at a huge disadvantage. Plus bipods are still not working most of the time and you want to nerf lmgs to the ground?
Kiraly becomes now a melee weapon, fg42 sniper will be even worse, and g41 will take 2 minutes to reload a single clip
How about making every weapon having the exact recoil their ingame stat card has and removed any arbitrarybuff and nerf? That way you actually nerf most of the semi/automatic weapons and have closer gap to bolties
this game simply focuses on the player’s experience, so that he can run and kill and have fun with it, bots are there to be killed, most of the changes you propose, even though I would like something like that myself, have no right to exist in this game. Maybe as a separate mod? who knows.
from what I noticed, it’s just their business model, at the beginning you start with bolt actions, then you get some basic weapons that give you the ability to kill bots more effectively, and then the progress suddenly slows down… There is a good chance that you will pay because you are addicted to the pleasant feeling of farming bots, and developers will rather avoid spoiling this feeling.
I’m not very convinced by this concept, so I didn’t spend much on this game, for me enlisted could have achieved much more than that. But i’m afraid that it won’t.
I agree it’s fun to kill bots, i don’t want a single well-placed player to mow down half my team, not my squad but team because of good positioning, and by that i don’t mean being clever i mean he is positioned just in the right place where he is hard to see because of bush but can see me fine because he is on ultra-low resolution.
