Ideas for planes for Japan

Maybe I’m not as crazy as many fans of Japan, but the truth is I put my faith in the emperor ,and I will speak with courage about the filth that the Devs, do to humiliate Japanese ancestors and honor.

It is incredible that all the nations on their part are complete in air weapons, with Japan being the one that has junk planes in the first BRs, up to the A6M2 Reisen to be on par with the Yankees. Do you really think that with that, if they take out Manchuria, the Japanese will be on par with the Yaks, ILs and rental planes that exist? Please, let’s not talk about the heavier ones and the IS tanks? OBVIOUSLY NOT!

We all know that yes, the USSR has a terrible team, its tanks and planes will be impossible to fight. It is true that this happened in real life, but this is not real life, it is a video game.

Japan has a great lack of planes and tanks. but more so on airplanes, which is why I took the task of giving you some suggestions that could balance the experience. As I said, the Devs are not interested in Japan because they don’t earn money with premium weapons and equipment.

ki 45 Hei : was the third production variant of the Ki-45 series. After the relatively poor performance of the previous Ki-45 Kai-Otsu, the 37 mm cannon was replaced back to a 20 mm, while the nose-mounted armament of two 12.7 mm machine guns was replaced by a single Ho-203 37 mm drum-fed autocannon. D3A1: The D3A1 , designated as Type 99 Carrier Dive Bomber (九九式艦上爆撃機) was a carrier-based dive bomber that served in the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War II. It was the first Japanese plane to strike American targets, starting with the Pearl Harbor attack in December 1941. It also took part in almost all major Japanese carrier operations in the first year of the war, such as the Indian Ocean Raid, the Battle of the Coral Sea, and the Battle of Midway. The Aichi D3A replaced the older D1A biplane and was influenced by the German Heinkel He 70. The Aichi D3A1 was accurate and reliable. It sank more Allied ships than any other Axis plane, but faced heavy losses as the war went on and newer Allied fighters surpassed it.

Ki-32 japanese Stuka: The Ki-32 was a Japanese light bomber developed in 1936 as a replacement for the Kawasaki Ki-3. The specification called for a top speed of 400 km/h at 3,000 m, ability to climb to an altitude of 3,000 m within 8 minutes, be powered by either the 825 hp Mitsubishi Ha-6 radial, 850 hp Nakajima Ha-5 radial, or 850 hp Kawasaki Ha-9-IIb liquid-cooled inline engine, and carry a maximum payload of 450 kg of bombs. Additionally, the specification also called for a single forward-firing machine gun, a rear-facing machine gun on flexible mount, and the ability to perform a 60-degree dive for dive bombing. Production ceased in 1940 with 854 built. The Ki-32 were withdrawn from front-line service in December 1941.

P1Y1 mod. 11: The P1Y1 mod.11 , designated as the Ginga 11 (銀河一一型) , was a land-based long-range (dive-)bomber that was requested by the Japanese Navy after learning of the successes in the European theatres and out of their own experience with their own Type 96 G3Ms (and later Type 1 G4Ms) attack bombers lacking the ability to commit dive bombing actions. Initial development began by examining a purchased Ju 88 A with little real valuable lessons being drawn from the Ju 88 and development continued, with the last prototypes being rushed to be used in service production due to the lengthy development time and deterioration of the war situation. This resulted in a late-war multirole high-speed bomber that was troubled with maintenance and overall production numbers.

ki 109: The Ki-109 is based on the Mitsubishi Ki-67 heavy bomber, refitted as an interceptor in an attempt to counter the American high-altitude bombing raids that devastated Japan. It is armed with a 75 mm anti-aircraft gun modified for aircraft use, and almost all defensive armament from the bomber version has been stripped, except for the tail turret, to maximize performance.

Offensive armament:

75 mm Type 88 cannon.

Defensive armament:

Turret 12.7 mm Ho-104 machine gun.

ki 108 kai: The Ki-108 Kai was a Japanese twin-engine heavy fighter/interceptor prototype developed from the [Ki-96] and [Ki-102] models. It was designed to counter the high-altitude American bombers such as the B-29 . It had a pressurized cockpit, a 37 mm nose cannon and two 20 mm chin cannons. It was powered by two Mitsubishi Ha-112-II Ru turbosupercharged radial engines. Only four Ki-108s were built and none saw combat before the end of the war.

A7M2: The A7M2, designated as Reppū Mod. 11 (烈風一一型), was a Japanese carrier-based fighter designed by Mitsubishi as the successor to the A6M Zero. It was intended to have superior speed, climb, diving, and armament over the Zero, as well as better manoeuvrability. The development began in 1942 but faced many challenges due to engine selection and wing loading issues. The A7M2 was powered by a 2,200 hp Mitsubishi Ha-43 engine and had a maximum speed of 627 km/h. It was armed with two 20 mm cannons and two 13 mm machine guns, or four 20 mm cannons. Only nine A7M2s were built before the end of the war, and none saw active service.

J7W1: The J7W1 , designated as Shinden (震電) , was a prototype fighter plane featuring a distinctive design with wings positioned at the rear of the fuselage, a nose-mounted canard, and a pusher engine. Development was led by Masayoshi Tsuruno, beginning in 1942-43, with the aim of creating a high-speed 400 kn canard-type aircraft. This design aimed to maximize fuselage space by relocating the engine and pilot to the rear of the plane, thus allowing for more armament to be concentrated in the nose. As Japan’s wartime situation deteriorated, the focus of the J7W1’s development shifted from being a general fighter to a high-altitude interceptor. This change was driven by the increasing threat posed by American high-altitude bombing raids conducted by B-24s and [B-29s]. Despite its innovative design and potential, the J7W1 saw only limited production and testing. Only two prototypes were completed before Japan’s surrender, preventing the aircraft from being deployed in combat.

ki 64:In 1939, Kawasaki chief engineer Takeo Doi created the draft of an unusual high-speed fighter while working on the development of the Ki-45 and Ki-61. At that time the Japanese Army was in need of more conventional devices and did not authorize the development of the project until October 1940, when it was resurrected with the designation Ki-64 to satisfy a specification that requested a device with a maximum speed of 700 km/h at 5,000 meters and a climb to said altitude in 5 minutes.Takeo and his colleagues at the Akashi factory decided to use the Kawasaki Ha-201 engine, which in fact consisted of two liquid-cooled twelve-cylinder Ha-40s mounted in tandem in front and behind the pilot’s cockpit and driving two opposite-rotating three-bladed propellers.

The rear engine drove the front propeller which was variable pitch. The rear propeller was controlled by the front engine and was fixed pitch. The most unusual feature was the vapor cooling system, which used the wing and aileron surfaces as a cooling zone.

The coolant was water that was carried on the wings in two tanks of 70 liters each. The front engine used coolants from the port wing and the rear engine used coolants from the starboard wing. A Ki-61 was modified specifically to test the entire engine in a wind tunnel.

These tests delayed the completion of the prototype until December 1943, but demonstrated that the cooling system performed perfectly. The speed was increased by 25 miles per hour but it also limited the space for the fuel tanks, so the range of the device was also reduced.

Only five flight tests were carried out since December 1943. One of the engines failed in the fifth test and caught fire, so the prototype had to make an emergency landing.

The engine was never fully repaired and the frame was captured by American troops at the end of the war and some elements of the cooling system evaluated in the United States.

There was a version proposed for production (Ki-64-Kai) with a more powerful 2,800 hp Ha-201 engine at altitude with electrically controlled fixed-pitch, counter-rotating propellers.

It was supposed to have a maximum speed of 800 km/h, but the project was canceled in favor of more conventional models that were already in production. He was codified by the Allies with the name “Rob”.

N1K1-Ja: The N1K1-Ja , designated as Shiden Mod.11 Ko (紫電一一型甲) , was the result of Kawanishi’s adaptation of the canceled N1K1 floatplane project into a land-based fighter by replacing the floats with conventional landing gear. To improve the performance of the Shiden, Kawanishi swapped the original Mitsubishi Kasei 13 engine with the more powerful Nakajima Homare series, initially using the Homare 11 and later choosing the Homare 21 for mass production. The Shiden was a formidable opponent for Allied fighters over the Pacific and was the first land-based fighter designed by Kawanishi, a company specializing in floatplanes. The Shiden was quickly deployed and became the most feared Japanese fighter of the war.

Well this is all, I am open to more proposals, but this is for me, what could help Japan balance things. But I say goodbye and long live the emperor!

Making a massive list like this makes it more unlikely for the suggestion to be accepted.

Also, why are you strapping the heaviest loadouts onto the planes? You’re not going to make infantry more dead with a 800kg bomb than a 100kg bomb. If you get that 800kg bomb stuck in some random terrain feature, most of the shrapnel will be absorbed harmlessly by the environment.

Multiple smaller bombs can cover a larger area more reliably, won’t result in unnecessary overkill, and allow you to do multiple drops in the same spawn than just one.

Japan is largely fine in the fighter department, in my eyes, but needs more attackers.

true, but what they could do is limit them to bombs from 250 kg to 500 depending on whether we are talking about the heaviest tanks in the game like the IS or the pershin. But to say that it would be op, seeing that several planes from other factions can have more bombs than Japan does not have, like the 100 or 250 kg ones that Japan only has 60 kg in the first two brs, while others have 100 to 250 kg bombs, the only plane there is with more kg (which is 500 kg) is the D4Y1, it simply seems ridiculous to me. IF Japan needs both bombers and fighters, the problem of Japan’s faction cannot be covered up.

Good suggestion, Currently, the Japanese camp in the game is filled with a large number of weapons that have never appeared on the battlefield in history.

No its not it needs more fighters for BR II and BR III and can get more fighters in other BRs since it will have less tanks. Japan literally has only one fighter plane from BR II to BR III and it starts on a ship…
