This is very stupid, as far as I know no V2 rocket was ever used on the battlefield, it was an expensive ballistic rocket designed to destroy targets in distant cities like London, its use on the front line is ridiculous due to its cost and poor accuracy.

nah its cringe either way, however a superheavy arty strike could still work, something in line with a B-4 howitzer.
I mean Im going to list off weapons because I think they are cool, but in game it could just be the same effect for them all, 1-3 rounds of SH howitzer rounds, across a wide area, or tight, but you would hear very distinctly the sound of the gun firing over the horizon.

oh ofc, funny enough of all the factions, its actually the soviets lacking options for railway artillery tier, hence I tried to pick out the nice SH mortar tier which would still have been common enough in WW2, Japs were the hardest there, since they kinda kept their siege mortars for obliterating chinese civilians, but the Type 45 at least saw significant action in the Philippines and in the 1945 soviet invasion.

Make artillery even more cancerous than it is with dick sized capture zones. With V1 at least you can intercept it if you paid enough attention.
I mean thats why I listed variables,
Either you have multiple (2-3) SH shots over a wide area, similar effect of a 50-100kg bomb, so its more suppressive rather than destructive,
Or you can have a singular SH shot with a very narrow area, so its more destructive rather than suppressive, because once the one round lands, everyone is clear to move again, unlike artillery which can take a bit longer to clear.
Not to mention its cinematic af, unlike a V1 strike which is just goofy BFV type shit. Not to mention it would fit well in the rest of the game instead of only BR5.
I suppose your opinion have merits, however if we’re going to add heavy artillery strikes I’d like to see the capture point size enlarged.
Honestly the capture points deserve their own revamps, but thats a whole other debate there.
I mean for example, instead of planting a bomb on a random radio, we could have players spiking a gun, or targeting a depot of some type. Would allow for at least some visual diversity if nothing else. Personally Id like to see objective like blowing bridges and vice versa, but thats asking for a bit much I think.
