To fix the problem with unbeatable tanks like panther A and jumbo on normandy i came up with a system to make it work. Its nothing new as similar thing is used in war thunder but it can be painful sometimes getting a full uptier. So here’s my proposition of a similar system.
As an example i’ll use the Normandy campaign with some tanks i think could find a nice place in enlisted :
Puma can meet M5 Stuart and M8 HMC
pz.III N and Premium pz.III M can meet M5 Stuart , M8 HMC, Premium M24 and M4A2
pz.IV J can meet M8 HMC , M4A2 and M4A1 (76) replacing the jumbo
pz.IV H can meet M4A2 , M4A1 (76) and M10
Jagdpanzer IV (replacing the panther) and Premium pz.IV J can meet M4A1 (76), M10, M4A3 (76) and Premium Sherman Firefly
Panther A can meet M10, Premium Sherman Firefly, M4A3 (76) and M36 Jackson (top tier)
Tiger E ( top tier) can meet M4A3 (76) and M36 Jackson
Also the infantry would be affected as well. The infantry would stick to the tank that is being unlocked earlier so that you cant just melt new players with the FG or STG.
Example:
Tank unlock 1 - - -Infantry we’re talking about - - - Tank Unlock 2
Infantry here is classed same as the 1st unlock
I hope it is clear enough. The system itself is almost identical to the battle rating system with tanks being the borders between tiers. It may be flawed as the idea was created in like 5 min.

as much as this game needs some sort of level / points / equipment based balance. I highly doubt theres enough players for such system, meaning the que times at low lvls & high lvls would be measured in days.
If the limitation is ingame based aka cant spawn panther against stuart it would make much more sense but would require overhaul how the squads works as you would be stuck with panther squad that you simply cant spawn due to m5 being on field and if you spawn the panther on the start how the balance system then would work.
The only thing that needs to be done is huge buff to AT squad and AT guns as squads should kind of work like rock/paper/scissors but AT squad/trooper is mostly useless and same the AT gun, fix damage model of vehicles and don’t add super strong tanks that are immune to most AT weapons and tanks it faces. Jumbo and Panther shouldn’t be added. They should stick to roughly competeable vehicles across the campaign with just slightly better vehicles further down campaign but not those that simply outclass all earlier tanks. Same problem is with Grant in Africa.
I’m pretty sure if gray zone camping and damage models were fixed 75% of the complaints about tanks would suddenly disappear. Other than that if the tanks were well balanced against their opposing counterpart on the same campaign level that would also make people feel less of a problem with things like the Jumbo and the Panther, because 90% of the time that’s what people complain about. Because for many people it’s not about all the tanks need to be balanced against each other, it’s about the other team’s counterpart doesn’t match their expectations against said tank. Which is fair tbh.
Just finished D-Day playing Allies, where grey zone camping by the Axis tanks is pretty much guaranteed. I’ve always despised this tactic, but fair is fair, and was pretty sure that my team was full of newer players (gonna likely lose)….So… I have premium and an extra slot, so I rotated P47, P51, P47 (event version) the entire match.
It’s a disgusting tactic but I think a fair counter to the OoB tankers farming easy kills on the beach.
Immediately Kamikazed every spawn….ended with 75 kills and 10 tanks destroyed and as I knew before hand, my team never came close to capping 1st point.
Also, sometimes when the Allied team has Jumbos camping there it can cost their team the game even if the Axis team never spawns a tank. If everyone who’s just trying to farm kills without a care in the world about the objective notices they are getting farmed by the Jumbo player that’ll eventually force them over to the objective. Since we know how Allied players work (almost exactly like the Axis, most of them ignoring objectives) this will lead to heavy resistance at the objective where the few who try to capture it will get overwhelmed. Looks great on the score board, doesn’t have a positive impact on the game.
Just tried it again, this time in Berlin. No extra slot, so only 2 planes and one infantry squad to cycle.
I finally understand why people Kamikaze and cycle planes, it works, especially if an infantry squad is one of the 3 squads being cycled.
Done it twice now, 10 tanks destroyed, then 8 tanks and 2 planes that died to the blast from my bombs.
Top of the leaderboard both times, 1 loss 1 win

Don’t worry, it’s probably just what came off of those filthy campers after the explosions you made. You haven’t done anything wrong, you were just trying to show them the errors of their ways.
In Berlin, they stopped spawning tanks after I kamikazed the 1st 8.
Then it was infantry against infantry and we held them off at the final point after losing the 1st 4 points super quickly.
I guess.
Sharing because I never understood when players cycled planes Kamikaze style….until I tried it today.
When there are grey zone tanks….it sometimes makes sense….especially if your team is struggling.
Pays well considering the time it took to eliminate the tanks and get back on the ground.
many more squads lost than normal, but playing defense there is no downside to that.
As you can see, my team was not really great at destroying grey zone campers.
Nothing to be proud of, but it works.
