Why is U.S. the only faction that shows battles of BR 2-5 when playing BR3 loadout? I’m sick of getting matched against Japs all running around with type hei automatic. Do not have this problem with any other nation. Is this a glitch that has gone unresolved for months on end? Is this on purpose because somehow U.S. BR3 guns are suitable for BR5 matches?
cause it is not only faction. japanese also have BR 2-5. simply it is cause japanese have low player count so they need ±2BR and cause they can only match against US, so US also has ±2BR cause of that.
btw that shown BR doesnt mean anything cause even when it shows ±1BR you can get ±2 BR battles and when it shows ±2BR you can get ±1BR. it all depends on number of players currently in queue.

I find that hard to believe. There are tons of BR5 U.S. players. There has to be enough of them for the “smaller” BR5 Japan playerbase.
The fact that it shows for U.S. but not Germany and USSR tells me U.S. doesn’t get the soft BR matchmaking rule that they do.

idk what is so hard to believe when it doesnt depend on US players, but on japan players. if you have 10 japan players in BR3-5 and 100 US players with ±1 BR you will still get ±2 BR.
cause it is matched against japan…
US-japan ±2 BR
US-germany ±1BR
so overall it will show ±2 BR cause it can be matched against japan

There’s way more players than that. The BR5 matches i get thrown into are basically full lobbies of BR5. Not just 1 or 2. My point is, if there’s 10 BR5 jap players (which there certainly is more then that) then there most definitely is 10 BR5 U.S. players that can play them. They don’t need me nor anyone else that’s a BR3 player in the lobby.
the answer is that low BR Japanese are struggling - so most Japanese players play high BR.
not really. ±2BR becomes active only after MM tried to get ±1BR for some time(at least per official news). i would bet that after you check replay that at least one player on both sides has BR3 equipment or match had at least 1 bot on one team.
I can’t speak for everyone, but maybe the chance of being bumped up two BR levels is one reason there are fewer players at BR3 for allies and Japanese. I love my BR3 Allies, but I hardly even try to play with them because of being bumped up to BR5. So, If DF is forcing me to a BR 5 match anyway, I might as well just play my BR5 squads. So, IMOP DF is ruining BR3 for Allies and Japan. Some people say they don’t mind because it’s a challenge while others hate it, however, If I want the challenge then I can always add one BR5 player to my BR3 squads and have that challenge, while those who don’t want it don’t have the choice. 
Seriously. I had to stop playing them for a while over this. Was getting too many matches with full hei automatic rifles.
