Any special treatment is extremely toxic. As we can see with Japanese MM right now.
It either should be ±0 BR or ±1 BR across all board.
Of course, ±0 would be much better outcome.

The problem is 0-+ is fair but boring we don’t have the variety for it, nor the player base. Hiss player base, well I don’t want to wait because you want to constantly play one faction at the same be all day. We already have more qs than world of tanks with a fractions of the players I won’t make you suffer through the math.
The problem is there playing army and were playing WW2 it’s also why they have more then twice as many brs two game modes and still two thirds as many unique qs. Why no faction restrictions and br-+2. Back to boring almost all German smgs are 9mm lower damage smgs same with USSR. The us at least has m and 45s.
It continues with mgs US having accurate lc mgs and German and ussr had low accuracy hc. Rifles almost all follow a curve. 5 round bolties to ten, 5/6 round to double 5 to ten to 20 sf. With few exceptions like the m1 carbine and German 30 round carbine. You limit it to br-+0 and only br2 has any real variety ur perfectly balanced snooze fest.
By the way read in a snooty bad German academic scented American English heavy in accent like a Jones villain monologuing to a tied up Jones approaching a sawmill buzzsaw.
I want a true 0/0 match making system, which I’m beginning to doubt we will ever see. BR4 has no business fighting in a BR5 match. So, if they isolated BR5, guess where 90% of BR4 matches will be played? Against BR3. So, whether it was merged or not, isolating BR5 and making it a stand alone BR level would for all intensive purposes merge BR3 and BR4, especially if BR2 is isolated from BR3. It’s not that I would want them merged, but that (in my scenario) is what would essentially happen.
Yes but no you would have br3 squads fighting br4 squads people would be able to choose which to use. If you merged br3 and 4 no one is going to choose the old br3 weapons the garand goes from a choice to no choice at all. Without the merge you can face br4 squads and other br3 squads something far less possible with a merge. You just want to merge br3 and 4 to create a new br4 and maintain the old ±1 system as is. Not to mention again the US and japan lack a br4 rifle while Germany has one and ussr has 2.
There are quite a few german tanks that can deal with kv1 now without much issues, but regardless of that, there are 2 other reliable ways to take it out. 1)bombs, i know it’s difficult for the average person to drop them accurately so I’ll move on to 2) tnt, every player in br2 has access to it, and seeing as how there’s 10 players on a team, someone can easily run up on him, especially with a guerilla squad. You place the tnt on top. Easy peasy. I mainly live in br2 and i have never let a kv1 determine the game. Quite frankly though, a lower tier tank should struggle against a higher tier tank. They aren’t meant to be on equal footing. That’s exactly why the game offers 6 different ways to blow up a tank.
Yes and if free to players had more than 4 bloody slots you would have a point. I don’t bring planes and rarely bring a squad without artillery and an engineer. Yes with 11 squads you can bring a bit of everything but not for free. I don’t know the ration but I would bet most players have closer to base 4 squads than 11.
Planes most people bring tanks
At weapons that’s one
At ,grenades, not in gray
Gurelias not with four slots
At guns slow to build slower to move
At mine not in gray
Mortars only for experts
Tanks not if uptiered
But even if you get tanks and at guns that’s three one limited bybslots
I would assume most serious players have premium time which comes with 2 slots. It’s $20 for a year when it’s on sale. Well worth it, plus you get the exp bonus for grinding.
Still, regardless of slots, every soldier has a tnt/tank mine slot (forgot about those, makes 7 different ways) and a grenade slot for explosive packs (which don’t regularly work well on kv1). No plane or anything else really is needed to take out a tank.
Didn’t really consider mortar either lol. Can also dig trenches and put up tank traps. There really are a lot of methods. Problem is most people don’t want to take on a support role. They’d rather run and gun or play bush baby sniper
Yes and an invisible death wall counter we call the gray/grey zone that lets any half way decent tank driver a shoot from the back of it or b just back up while point blank shooting it’s cannon. You shouldn’t have to pay 20 dollars a year for a free game. More than half of any shooter player base are casuals, players the game cannot afford to loose. Players wonder why the game can’t grow when it locks basic features not behind a paywall but a subscription service.
Not all maps allow for grey zone tank camping. This is also why it’s important to have a couple guerilla squads on the team. Chances are 1 out 10 players has a way to deal with it. Hell, good chance you have a br3 team mate with panzerfaust.
As far as a br2 tank option. Pretty sure the event sturmtiger can easily deal with it as it can take out is2 and super pershing
Yes there should be an additional slot for free players, but at the same time a free game doesn’t owe you anything either. It’s how “free games” make money to stay in business. $20 a year is really affordable, and then getting all your gold back from a BP is incredibly generous as well. Haven’t played any other game like that. Most make you pay cash every season or they include the price in some type of premium account/expansion pack. If you can afford to buy a PC or console to play the game you can afford $20 a year to support a game you like and make the game more enjoyable. I’m used to paying $60+ to buy and play a game i like plus future expansion packs etc.
Supporting a free game is the only way it can stick around for you to play. So yes i do believe people who truly enjoy the game, such as yourself seeing as you’re on the forum, should pay the $20. Their game model is more of a “here’s a free trial, if you like it please support us and unlock some stuff as a bonus”.
but apparently i need o bring one plane squad one tank squad one gruella squad. if i need to pay 20 dollars a year to preform the basic function of killing a tank in the gray zone its not a free to play game. free to play should not lock basic functions behind a pay wall no matter how cheap. i bought my console a xbox one years ago for 200 dollars. spending 20 dollars a year is not a free game. battle passes normally sell cosmetics or new units not needed to play the basic game like slots. sorry not everyone can afford wow or games with expansions. not everyone buys games new its fine to charge for premium, bp weapons, battle passes, premium time.
charging for new slots than making more unit types needed because of flawed mechanics is bad game design. charging for slots is as good/bad as metal gear charging for save slots. by definition a free to play game should be playable for free at a basic level. enlisted is not i haver heard i need xyz to play the game even taking half of that is beyond a free players slots. Either it can be played for free or its not free to play.
Historical battle of moscow experience
I agree. Not sure why this hasnt happened already.
Indeed I thought BR I and BR V were supposed to be separated anyway per recent updates but it doesnt seem to be the case given how much BR II tech was in BR I battles.
I agree that BR III and IV should be merged in terms of small arms. The only concern is tanks.
BR1 was locked off from BR3 permanently, meaning it will only see BR1 and BR2 teams. Same with BR5 being locked off from BR3 permanently. It will only see BR4 and BR5 teams. Currently japan’s BR 3 will not meet BR4.
You don’t NEED to pay for anything to play the game, no basic features are blocked off. Your choice in what you bring is just limited. My main point about there being a dozen different ways to deal with a tank is good for those with limited choice because it means you can have access to atleast 1 method quite easily. To repeat again, there are german br2 tanks that will take out a kv1.
The best squads a free player can bring looks something like this:
This is probably the strongest, most versatile option there is. If you have the assault engineers they are a really strong alternative to the machine gunner squad especially in br2 with the mkb 35s. If you like to play some other type of squad i would swap them in for the MG squad keeping the assaulters and guerrillas. Assaulters are a staple to gameplay and guerrillas are incredibly useful for flanking tanks, rally points, and apcs. The regular engineer squads get an honorable mention as well to take in place of the MG squad. The line up i listed out gives you access to everything except a plane (which tanks are far more useful in general) and an AA/AT buildable.
the gap between BR1 and BR2 is quite alot less than BR2-3.
If we pretend that KV1 is fine as it is because it has “counters” I find it slightly odd that you bring
br IV & V to discussion as those has just as much counters as KV1.
Yeah i already posted a really long comment about all the things missing between the two brs, and then some with fresh players. Glad we can agree on something though lol
Sure, and while this
would be the absolute optimal, I doubt they are getting that. Lack of players and what else.
Just lock the BR 1-2 and do what ever with the rest.
Oh wait, maybe i misread you. You’re saying BR1 is closer in strength to BR2 than BR2 is to BR3? Or are you saying the opposite? The gap between 1 and 2 is definitely by far worse than 2 to 3.
I’ll just repost this from earlier.
The jump from br1 to br2 is far bigger than br2 to br3. There’s no semi automatic rifles in br1 (other than just the few m1 carbine-like BP guns. There’s no apcs in br1, no machine guns in br1, no bombers in br1 (forgot about potez). The jump from br1 to br2 is even larger for those just starting the game or a new faction. No upgraded squads, no max stat top tier soldiers, no loaded out perks, no sidearms, no grenade variants, no axes, no ammo bags, and most importantly no engineers and buildable structures like rally points, at guns, and mg nests. Br1 tanks are far worse to br2 tanks compared to br3 tanks.
In short, br2 has access to all the same tools as br3, just slightly worse in some regard. This has to be one of the most wild takes I’ve seen. It’s completely unfair. If anything br1 should be locked off to itself and br2 should only see 2-3.
Oh wait, maybe i misread you. You’re saying BR1 is closer in strength to BR2 than BR2 is to BR3?
Yes.
The gap between 1 and 2 is definitely by far worse than 2 to 3.
BR1 T26 can pen technically every GE tank all the way up to IV G? And even G in some spots.
Dont know any BR1 GE tank that could frontally take on KV1.
SMG’s become much more efficient on BR3 atleast for GE, dispersion drops notably and rof increases.
Soviets already have technically BR3 smg’s at BR2 so little bit adjustment here and there.
AT’s PTRD/S definitely can beat any BR1 tanks and zooka can deal with the BR2 easily as well as with fair share of BR3 tanks it encounters.
While GRB struggles quite alot with those sloped armor BR3 tanks.
There’s no semi automatic rifles in br1
There are no semi autos either outside of that fantasy fedorov and M1.
Fedorov because it can OHK and M1 because it has no recoil and enough big mag to deal with more than 1 person.
Armaguerra is just a horrible joke.
no bombers in br1
Ive used rather extensively 109 with 4x50 rather than any of the stukas and im quite sure we did agree on another topic the bombs are horribly nerfed.
So the Yak’s 2x100 at BR1 is more than adequate to deal with tanks.
Or the rockets of hurricane.
No upgraded squads
If one starts as soviet, I doubt he has much of upgraded squads before he reaches the first BR2 equipment.
Same applies to JP.
no sidearms
Thats horrible.
no grenade variants
Detpacks do just fine
importantly no engineers and buildable structures like rally points
Like they would build them even if they had them.
Anyway, thats something that has been suggested for years now. That snipers should be replaced with engineer squad from get go.
In short, br2 has access to all the same tools as br3
BR3 smg’s notably higher rof, less dispersion.
Actually usable SA’s garand, svt, gewehr to some extend.
Do-it-all tanks of BR3 with long 75mm, while on BR2 you can either select the PZ3J1 long 50 that does pen KV but its horrible against infantry.
They are nowhere near comparable.
Also, theres a ton of obsolete sht on GE tree that is BR2 and grind thru all that sht is a massive burden even without having to fight KV1’s.
