You almost unlocked the p47, watch your numbers go even higher suddenly right after…

I don’t think I like the p47 as much as the Corsair after playing with it. Which do you prefer?
If you are good at bombing then that’s the big asset. You can take out 20 infantry AND destroy a heavy tank in one run with a P-47. Of course, that’s not typical but it’s not rare to get a vehicle and over a dozen infantry. Without the bomb, that would be way less common since the HVAR nerf… er… correction.
P-47 takes some adjustment. Heavy big plane so if you’ve been flying a lot in something small and nimble it will feel like a bus.

I like the corsair too because I like how it looks, but on a usefulness level, p47 is much better.
We laugh about it because most ppl using it are only flying in a straight line to spit rockets and nothing else… But with a serious pilot it’s very dangerous. It’s FAST, it got TONS of ammo, is decently maneuverable for what it is. I’ve taken out countless enemy pilots using it. It’s also very tanky.
Also in Pacific it starts in the air, not the corsair.

You appear to be correct. Did they do a shadow nerf on the Corsair? I could’ve sworn it was 701 km.
It probably was, but you made it max star. For some reason, max upgrading LOWER max speed a bit to boost other specs a lot.
Why?
My humble guess is that it’s due to the first and second upgrade. It reinforce the structural strenght of the plane, making it a bit heavier.
But don’t worry about the slower listed maximum speed: you won’t notice it because you’ll probably never ever REACH maximum speed.
However, the 3rd upgrade made your engine more powerful, which helps acceleration, and that is really nice. You’ll reach decent speed faster.
Dang, so does that upgrade of getting rid of excess weight do nothing?
Nooo! Your plane becomes more nimble! Turns better!
You may not notice at first. But in a dogfight against an ace using a similarly good plane, it can save your life.
I noticed it with my premium maxed g10, and my back then stock g10. I had more difficulties evading and doing maneuvers with stock. Once I maxed that one too (I like the g10…) it magically became much easier doing sharp turns and lucky evades.
