Now those guns totally loose their comparative advantage, so their position, between smg and common semi-auto rifle, is totally corrupted.
I think those guns should have about 10 damage or there is no reason to use those guns.

Damage is good, it’s the rate of fire that they should increase. imo

Yeah they shouldn’t have touched them, especially the carbines again, since no one really called them OP
i think increasing damage is more better than increasing rate of fire.
because ambiguous rate of fire doesn’t solve the problem…
Their bullets is much-much smaller and less powerful than full powered cartridge. So it doesn’t quite make sense for them to deal 10 damages.
And increasing damage for VG1-5 is the same as increasing damage for MP43/STG44 as they’re using the same cartridge (7.92x33 kurz). So no plz :v (this one more personal)

they are semi auto, so it’s okay to make their damage about 10.
7.92 mm mauser also has different damage at bolt action(kar 98, 14) and semi-auto(gewehr44, fg42, 12 damage).
same goes for 9mm, 45 acp, and other.
true, it’s the limitation of semi & auto. Dev specially made it so every weapon that have semi or auto mode that use full powered cartridge by default only deal 12 damage (you might notice that all LMG deal 12 damage despite them using the same bullet as BA). The reason I can think of is to incentivize usage of bolt action rifle (they are the only one that by default can deal more than 12 damage).

yes but those are smg.
In this case, carbine and vg 1-5 are semi- auto, but they are inferior to smg and common semi-auto.
Clicking 4~5 times ASAP to kill one enemy is quite big penalty to those guns as a semi auto.
I have used carbine m1 and vg pretty long time, now I really hope those guns show their performance as a real semi auto rifle.
