Since i joined this forum i have seen many post about FG42 being OP.
But in my last game a picked up a PPSh-41 and this thing is a BEAST!
FG42 is more accurate and good in mid-range but has a small mag.
PPSh-41 has a big mag and shoots very fast, absolute deadly in CQC.
Balance doenst mean that every side has weapons with the same stats for short-, mid- and long-range. There are different weapons with different advantages and disadvantages but to ensure that different situations in which these different typs of weapons are needed occur equally is a kind of balance.

Afaik the FG is mostly a issue in France (at least according to players). Nothing new as 90% of all complaints here about balance are related to Normandy.

I believe the problem is the fg 42 in normandy and the fg 42 II in berlin. for most people atleast
The regular Fg 42 isnt that unbalanced compared to the AVS imo

FG42 is way better than a PPSH41. With an FG all you need is 1 shot, with the PPSH you need a lot more. The FG holds the advantage everywhere.
The FG needs to be restricted and the STG44 finally be introduced to counter PPSH41

There is a reason.
They have no idea what to put in Berlin after the StG and the Panzerschreck. They do not even have ideas for Normandy anymore and Normandy is the easiest campaign for new stuff.

Prototype fake crap most likely. They gave the Russians the drum fed bullet hose but didnt give the Germans the counter with the mid range high damage assault rifle.

They should have been at the same level imo. But no, they will have it at like level 38 with the as44 or something as a direct counter

This is an important point.
They can restrict fg if they want (I don’t think it’s necessary nor an issue, but if makes people happy…)
However they must add stg so Germs at least get something.
They could of easily added the MKB 42 as an eariler stage (like the PPD) then the StG44 at a later level. We have the MP38 and MP40, same idea. MG34 and MG42, same idea
But where do we put the AVS, AVT and the future Avtom (M2 is clear)?
It probably would have made more sense, but mkb42h in Berlin would look weird 
I mean so will the Fedorov and the AVS 36. Both were longggg gone by 1945
