I feel like the Fedorov should rather be nerfed. Sure, M1 Carbine would still reload in under 3 seconds, but with it’s low damage, and the amount of times you have to reload,.it isn’t at an advantage.
Under 3 second reload should purely be just a BR III and above thing. Like usual, the Soviet weapons are the only things breaking the balance.

I think increasing the damage or, ideally, making body armor cosmetic only would also be make it more usable, since the Armaguerra is also unable to one shot soviet body armor combined with vitality. It’s already the worst br2 semi auto afaik, yet it can’t even one-tap people with a certain cosmetic equipped. Same goes for the (awful even not facing body armor) G41.
On a side note on the topic of Japanese semi autos, the premium Type Ko desperately needs a buff. It’s probably one of the worst premium squads in the game for its BR since it only does 13.4 damage (at br III), being unable to one shot vitality. That’s with more recoil and a slower reload than the Type 4 rifle, which is also at BRIII and does 14.9 damage. That squad also, as with a surprising number of premiums, is arbitrarily hindered by being unable to take vitality.
I don’t own and have never considered buying that squad, but, Type Ko aside, it seems very strange for DF to kneecap themselves with sales by making so many premium squads have that issue.

Poor squad compositions aren’t the only things holding back sales . . . the prices themselves are too. How can German Guerilla squads only cost $30, yet the Silenced Thompson and STG cost over $55? No squad essentially should cost more than $30. I would actually buy premiums, even with their flaws, if they were sold at a lower price.

I agree the high BR premium prices are a bit absurd, but that’s just the war thunder pricing model for you. Some people are buying that stuff still.

It’s beyond me. Until they decrease prices, all I’m going to buy is 2 extra squad slots next sale. I feel that’s the thing that will rip me off the least at the moment.
Most people get them on sale when they are half off, not a $50 or whatever. What will later be a $25 supressed stg squad is much easier to stomach.
We shouldn’t have to rely on a 50% off price though to be able to buy squads. That’s the point I’m getting at. Plus, if you really want the preorder, you have to pay full price.

I don’t disagree that the prices are a bit exorbitant on some squads and I personally wouldn’t get and haven’t gotten any without a sale, but at the end of a day it’s a free to play game. It is what it is.
