I Suggest Adding Magnetic and Sticky AT Grenade and Explosives

will add flavor and remove need to detonate but might somehow given weight have even more limited range then the tnt with plunger for how far you can throw. sticky grenade could be funny used against infantry or if dropped.

its like tnt but no longer have to detonate after deploying it

Ok but you cant cook the either, so throw timer counts down boom, but at least you cant shake them off. hook bomb - NamuWiki. Add to lunge mine

AND All German tanks should be immune to the sticky effect with Zimmerit.

All tanks that have it in game which is not by default all of them, you can tell there’s a texture difference. It looks like the ceiling of an old dorm with the ripples, and only on areas covered by zimmerit

And thus you see my ulterior motive. MORE VEHICLE CUSTOMIZATION!

which is fine by me because the tnt plunger just fails to work like 20% of the time

Only against magnetic mines, the sticky ones would still stick.

This feature would be even less useful, since Germany were the only ones to employ magnetic mines. The Zimmerit paste was a reaction to what Germany itself was developing, fearing that their enemies would develop the same thing at any time, which never happened.

So, yeah if Germany were going to fight Germany with these magnetic mines it would play a role, but that doesn’t happen outside of custom games… unless they add the very rare and special use British magnet mine, but they functioned differently (German ones were thrown, British Clam mine was placed, not the same type of weaponry).

Limpet mine was also a naval weapon, not meant for use against tanks.

And that’s what makes it funny.
Everyone’s reaction to the patch notes would be:
“IMMUNE TO MAGNETIC! REEEEEEE IMBALANCED! OP AF!”
Not realizing it functionally does nothing at all.

Fair enough, nice little april fools update.

“German Tanks now largely immune to Magnetic Mines”. Forums aflame, no one realized that Magnetic Mines aren’t even in the game yet, or even if added, that it’s a German weapon anyway.

Even more fun if nothing happened at all, it just says they’re immune.

i like the concept of more at grenades, but i think these should be given to engineers or anti tank troopers only.

as they are more effective and, realistically were often given to these type of troopers specialists.

while everyone else still gets to use the tnt, which shouldn’t be nerfed imo, but it will be less consistent due to many external factors ( such as constant explosions, having to time properly and well… other people that can shoot you and definitely will )

that makes it worse not better, yes there immune to a weapon only they have, but also no one is immune to the weapon they have. so its only half funny

the real joke would be if they had magnettic mines but everyone else had the anti magnetic coating thats a joke this is just sad, besides us, uk, japan did have limpet mines that could be used against tanks

Either way and despite numerous attempts at both magnetic and ‘sticky’ anti-tank weapons, the Germans did not deploy them in significant numbers. One British report of late 1944 even confirmed that they had, to that point, yet to confirm that even a single Allied tank had been knocked out by a magnetic mine, the far bigger threat being the German ‘bazooka’, the Panzerfaust.

the sad fact is magnets are exponentially weaker over distance. uk frogmen were often foiled by a few inches of barnacles they had to clear with a knife. snow, dirt, mud, layers of paint would all interfere with a magnet. that and having to land a at mag mine on a flat surface big enough to hold it. top of the tank, easy side of the tank hitting at least two legs with a throw roll of the dice.
