Just wondering what people think about this, I play with extreme tunnel vision even with SMGs in CQC and I like it.
Am I sick or something?

yes
there is some benefit by playing like that if you know what im reffering to "
"
but… i think you should visit a ophthalmologist btw
I’m just getting older.
It’s useful as a pilot to play with FOV, because Enlisted rendering is notoriously bad, up there in the sky.
Believe me, you’d see a lot more planes strafing if rendering was good.
No, it’s just hella weird. Something like pineapples on pizza.
well, usually your guns are not accurate enough for this to make a noticeable difference - with the exception of bolt actions, I can counter snipe just with my bare Kar98 K because of my low fov, so again, I simply like focusing my view even with SMGs, its weird I guess
i dont like the feel when you run with low FOV. although i sometimes change it mid game to 50 when i am defender and attackers are camping.
tanks and mounted mgs are the ones that are more useful by using the fov mechanic
oh thats true, top mounted MGs with 50 FOV make me snipe targets at 200 meters distance, with higher FOV the power of those MGs drop significantly
I’m the opposite. I play on a 49" Ultra-wide screen for extra immersion. Yes, it impacts my score as I can’t begin to see the entire screen at once, on the flip side, I get literal battle scars (mentally anyway!)
I heavily rely on my peripheral vision, so 50 fov would make me feel blind and ruin situational awareness
Whatever works for you
Didn’t even know you can change fov tbh but I don’t usually change fov anyway I just use the basic
Its weird - i used to play with 60 FOV , but I got used to the 50 now.
That being said I have to change to max FOV in the middle of the spawn screen sometimes, because the birds view when selecting a rally to spawn at is also super zoomed in, which makes me not see my flanking rallies.
I do feel like the game really isn’t supposed to be played like that, especially considering that one doesn’t even see his own gun that way.
