And now I know why. Omg they trigger me so much. First one has no MG, then the second one has a gunner/MG, but you have to switch between the two and the cannon just stinks. Top that off, the MG mag is 20 rounds.
the ka-chi (assuming that is the first tank he is talking about) only has 1 mg that could be modeled, it faces the back of the turret, while the hull one is blocked by the pontoons
Also Japanese turrets could be traversed extremely quickly irl, but the way they work isn’t modeled as it’s (fairly) a bit too complex for the control scheme.
If anyone’s familiar they worked more like a modern humvee turret, where you can just unlock the traverse and swing it around.
SO far best bet is to use the Water, the maps suck ass for using tanks on, put the Amphibious tanks in the water and you can get some decent flanking shots.
MG’s are porked in game imo over all because of the reload and cool down times artificially placed on them so we don’t kill to many sift targets at once.
doubt you will be able to aim it since we can’t switch to the loader and constantly being able to switch from the front commander’s window to the back window just to use the MG would absolutely be annoying; so instead i would recommend to give us the option to take off the pontoons to make the hull MG useable but at the cost of alot of armor
Japanese airplanes aren’t much better. At least the first one. It doesn’t have a forward firing machine gun, really? Four bombs and a rear gunner - that’s all! When I flew the first mission with it I wanted to do some strafing pass and… Nothing happened! Compare this to the mighty Moscow Il-2, armed with 2 MGs, 2 cannons, 8 rockets and 4 bombs…
you forget that play plane, on two maps the spawn is at the reds, and since it spams the dca tank, usually even before arriving on zone, we are already shot the trunk lol
That’s right, with good aim it can be useful. In my last match I’ve managed to blow up two halftracks in one strike. Howewer at least a pair of MGs in the wings wouldn’t hurt.
