I keep wondering, why Ofenrohr and not Panzerschreck?

I mean its technically the same AT launcher, just without the shield, but still the Panzerschreck is much more iconic, will we ever see it being added?

Most likely yes.

It was/is in editor.

It has been in editor for a while and we usually get the leftovers from the editor in the base game. For an example ithaca 37 and an/m2 stinger

they used to be in the first alpha test of enlisted around berlin.

ussr had the panzershrek as well as the germans.

soviet one was green, german one was tan.

i sure would like them ( even if… for one reason or another, gets less pen and slower reload speed )

to be fair, the one we got it’s a new one. that one in the editor it’s the ww1 trench version.
and the m2 stinger did got an updated model :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t understand why they couldn’t do this with the current captured AT launchers the Soviets have and the Yanks will have.

Just slight changes to textures and it already doesn’t feel so lazily copy pasted.

The problem of Panzerschreck is that the shield will block most of the view.

Because Tunisia. In the campaigns era it was added together with the bazooka. And historically there were no panzerschrecks in Tunisia.

definitely not a problem. ( i mean, hey it might be for you )

but you can either use the m9 ( for muricans ), or panzerfausts ( for soviets and germans ).

It would be good tradeoff. Pick offenrohr for worse pen but better visibility and panershreck for the opposite

I am actually talking about why dev choose ofenrohr and not panzerscherck, but unfortunately I can’t quote the title.

Not sure why are you talking about this?

Does pen difference even matter when you already have such high penetration?

The developers of the ru forum explained that technically anti-tank weapons are identical, they have a panzer shield for gases, but the bullets do not protect them. Therefore, at least it makes sense to add something that is identical to what is, but visibility records

wait,

you’re joking right?

it sounded like you didn’t liked/wanted the panzershrek because of the shield.

to which, i kindly reminded that if you don’t like the sight, you have other options.

Yeah.

Panzershrek should be in folder with Ofenrohr, mainly for larpers who doesn’t like gasmask.

How is Germany getting panzerscherck affecting US and Soviet?
OP doesn’t even talk about giving it to other faction.
Also the alternative you give is weird since US and Germany both have ofenrohr.

because they will most likely get it too?

since we know a captured version exists.

you’re the one who bringed the shield being an issue up :woman_shrugging:

which it’s why if the shield is an issue, people can still use those instead

How is it related to the stuff you quoted?

Not sure what you mean, US and Germany can use ofenrohr if they get panzerscherck. Why are you giving M9 as an alternative?

Then darn northerners and their obtaining of German equipment

Historical fact based games always do this.

irl they were not the same, as the panzerschreck had multiple details improved, leading to overall moderately better performance.
also the panzerschreck had better projectiles available upon introduction compared to the older ofenrohr, giving soldiers using it more reach and higher penetration.
