Because they push into the greyzone, passive useless playstyles are being made impossible - people are being force to push. This is actually a good thing, I have seen a couple of matches now where the enemy team was HEAVILY spamming grey zone squads - which made me win more matches, because snipers, AA gun campers, Mortars and bad tankers would stop doing what they would do normally and finally start playing aggressively.
Partisans themselves are just Assaulters with less firepower - that however can push beyond the greyzone - they don’t even flank, they just keep going when regular troops would stop.
The core aspect and the core Idea of those units is a complete failure, but as a result it actually seems to be helping the game.
I don’t understand Enlisted anymore, every time a major mechanic gets added, something completely unexpected happens.
Is it only me noticing this, or am I imagining things?
I dunno its pretty much what I expected. With the ability to push further away from the objective comes with leaving it alot more vulnerable to being capped.
With so many people trying to flank and push beyond the cap, its even less defended.
Which was one of my main arguments for not needing the grayzone… Who cares if people are 300 meters away from the objective trying to TNT a tank. They are no where near close enough to respond to a cap attempt, via a sneaky rally, a paradrop, or just one guy that slipped through the cracks
I guess that is also the reason why paras were so increadibly OP - not because of their actual power, but because people simply didnt play the objective.
or look up when you hear a plane fly over. after the first day of paratroopers, it should have been instinctual to scan for paras over the cap point when you hear the sound cue
They don’t do anything special. I have played 20 matches since update dropped and killed only one time by them. That class is completely redundant and require too much running to take out the tank, you will die most of the time before you will destroy a single tank.
You will destroy a tank much quicker with a plane or your own tank. They are only somewhat good if you want to destroy enemy rallies or flank enemies.
I was camping with my KT for last 3 points without moving much only two squads tried to take me out and failed completely.
Yes, you do. It doesn’t make any sense and any games I have played since this update doesn’t reflect your experience.
I didn’t want to post anything on this forum anymore, but I just had to comment on this nonsense.
I certainly haven’t experienced guerrillas hunting noobs with sniper or mortar squads. On the contrary, I’ve been surprised how few guerrillas even manage to get into the enemy greyzone at all (unless their team completely dominates the match).
I have never played this game more passively and had it go so well than I am now lol
I usually spam MG placements around the map, wherever I have a good view of the enemy, mowing waves of them until one of the opposing players gets an epiphany that maybe they should give flanking a try (which can take more time than you would think).
Personally, I’ve seen very few people play Guerillas, let alone go running for the grey zone. Perhaps different factions/servers have different mentalities and approaches to things?
well that has been my expectation… guerillas arent OP as long as one team doesnt dominate and when they do, then they become toxic.
had one battle today where stack(probably) totally dominated with guerillas and paratroopers. either they flanked reinforcements to the cap or started capping before i could even manage to build rally point. it is really annoying when enemy is shooting from multiple angles, specially when one angle is behind you and other is in front.
Speak for yourself, I flank with them (obviously, can’t waste 20 minutes going to the edge of the map to get that 1 idjit tank there) and it’s awesome.
Some heavy MG camper? just go a little to the side, bonk them, shoot everyone else in the back with said heavy MG, TNT it away. Clear some rallies. Go knife some spawn enjoyer snipers. Pog.
I haven’t played much but so far I encountered only one player with partisians. He tried to spawncamp us but gave up after I focused him (I think? maybe I give myself too much credit).
And about this
Imo it’s a bad thing.
It’s a casual game about shooting at useless bots. If someone wants to snipe, let him do this.
