10 weekly BP quests and still the daily progress limitation… I don’t know why, but against my best judgment I actually had some hope for this update.

Just to be clear, I think the core gameplay is good, on balanced maps GREAT even. The devs doing the main part of the game are nailing it, truly. Everything outside of that ranges from infuriating to outright insulting.

From the reminders to refill premium that starts 14 days before it runs out, reminding you how all the game sees you as is a moneybag. Having the BP time gated even when paying, to STILL not having any way to get new soldiers outside of the BP, or needing FOUR MILLION EXP to max ONE faction in one campaign, and for most of those levels you are rewarded with another fucking Kar98 version you already have unlocked in other campaigns. It is just a pointless, endless grind with weeks of grinding between actual fun upgrades. “yay so fun”.

But don’t worry, for the same price as a brand new AAA game you could buy ONE new squad that seems to be the only thing actually being added to the game.

I have a group of friends I play games with, I’ve never told them I play Enlisted despite having hundreds of hours in it. I would be too ashamed to show them the utterly broken systems surrounding the actual gameplay, and they would never agree to try another game I recommended in the future. Just changing what squads you want to use turns into a fucking puzzle game since you have to juggle what active squads you have out before you can even look what soldiers are in it or what equipment they are using. Without exaggeration, it is not uncommon for me to spend more time trying to sort my squads out than I do in the actual game during a gaming session. It is so poorly done my 3 year old nephew could come up with improvements on every single step. It boggles the mind how it is in such a bad state after this long.

I am done, just fed up with all the bullshit you have to go thru to actually play this game. Here’s to hoping Heroes and Generals new publisher will bring some fun new upgrades, at least that game is fit for purpose.

You do not have to buy the premium squads. Just get premium and buy gold here and there and your golden.

the point is, if i’d like to support this title, why should i " be forced " to buy those overpriced squads which has little use most of the cases?

to just get 4 mens and ditch them as soon i reached a few levels in the campaign ( or interestred in something else ).

which yes, technically Premium accounts are a thing. but i personally don’t like to make my game experience much shorter. 1 or 2 weeks for just one campaign is a bit too cheesy.

for 10 euros, you have that sustainability for silver orders, and devs are working ( as they " promised " or " stated " ) on silver orders for everyone once 50 k reached.

as a free to play, this game it’s not like many others in the market that are much, much worse ( with even NTFs included ).

I just wish for cosmetics to be a thing, but that’s another discussion for another time.

i’m not really against their performance ( as long they will give those goddamn engineers that has been teased which the newer squads outside the moscow ones DOES NOT HAVE ) but the prices behind.

half of those squads are worthed 10€ ( up to if we have to be “gentle” and fair ) 20€ .

a panzer IV in berlin? 45 euros?

what? WHY?

it’s much cheaper to get premium accounts or even just the other cheaper stuff ( prem tank or golden order )

what bothers me the most and almost seems no one is getting it in DF/gaijin team, is that the same BS over and over but just becomes overpriced. at least uniforms are differents, but that’s about it. same squad compositions, and same types of weapons.

and i’m not going to pay for that stuff, making devs thinking that it’s a good strat and " it’s working ".

just like i said to @Shiivex glad for him that bought pretty much every squad, but i personally dislike what he has done.
because just like many people like him, thought about finacially support the title ( which it’s noble, and i would have done the same if prices weren’t so frikkin high ) to a point where ( perhaps i’m just speculating and saying bs ) but people that bought those things, made the ideas to dev that it’s actually working and it’s effective.

so that’s why recent squads are becoming more expencive and expencive.

just take a bloody look.

Yes, premium squads are not worth it. Buying premium time is much cheaper and more efficient since you can use all your existing squads like they are premium ones with more soldiers per squad and they can also have engineers in them.

In short premium squads are not worth the slightest bit of their price. They need to lower their prices to fit their actual value.

I have spent over 180 USD on this game, mostly on gold and premium. You are missing my point by a wide margin, I don’t mind there being multiple monetization methods. My point is that BASIC, SIMPLE and vital systems in this game, such as equipping your squads with soldiers and arms for said soldiers is still clunkier than in fucking X-com 1 which was out in 1995. How many different menus and screens do you have to go thru to look at your soldiers in squads that are in the reserve and what weapons they use so you can get a proper load out? It would take a day or two of dev time to improve that system so it at least resemble usable. It wouldn’t make them any DIRECT cash tho, so why bother? But it would make the ‘meta-game’ much much better.

But when it feels like 90% of effort goes into new ways to make you pay them money instead of fixing broken systems that have been in the game forever, or actively removing ways of enjoying the game in favor of adding a new way to milk you for money, like allowing you to actually get new soldiers from playing the game… Who would look at that development trend and think “Yeah, I should support this more, I love it when they remove features and put them behind a paywall”?

premiums are expencive ? yes, for sure, i wouldnt mind having half the price, but… i can afford them as they are … its stupid to pump money into the game? yes and no.
i feel my money was worth my time over and over again in enlisted. and i still feel this game have alot of potential and its still an amazing dev team i m glad i m supporting/and other free 2 play players to keep this game alive.

either way, i would pump way more money into the game, coz … i can… if i had the option to have more soldiers into my squads (premium squads)

right now i feel i dont need no more squads. 33 or 34 premium squads its more than enough for now, its a huge expencive “hobby”? sure it is, but the fun that the game did provide me payed every single cent so far.

i do play alot of hours, i kinda no life games over and over, its my bunker after a work day/family/what ever… and i enjoy everysingle second of it.

I think all the paying squad are quite expensive indeed. Hopefully for the agument “It’s not a pay to win” I trully think regular squad are better.

For the grind, I don’t think it’s that bad. Ok I’m a wow Classic player. But just buying 2 month of premium gave me max lvl in Normandy and half lvl in Berlin.
I bought couple of gold for some random stuff.

At the end for all this play time I spend aroud 40 euro which is around the same price as a AAA game I would have already finish since then

I have spent my fair share of money on this game. All CBT squads and about 5 more premium squads (no vehicle premiums).
Game is great and I will keep supporting it, because it has a lot of potential.
