I don't understand some weapons

German weapon.
The damage is the same.

US military’s M2 cabin rifle.
The amount of damage is different.

why ???

They are different versions of the same weapon. M2 and M2A1

The only difference IRL is the folding stock for M2A1.

Different caliber or its just the game making “balance”

But in game, one is a gold order weapon and classed as a sub-machine gun, so maybe they gave it a bit more hit power because a “gold order ticket” should buy something better than the regular campaign weapon

Mp43 and MKb 42

How will this be explained?

The lvl 5 m1 carbine had 8.8 maxed while the other two TT had 8.0 but they since nerfed thr m1

MkB and MP43 fire the same caliber so they should do the same damage. The M2 differences make no sense

This would explain it then

Same caliber, but much worse round. M1 Carabine is more like huge pistol than an rifle, it was designed for second rate troops to replace M1911 pistols. Stg uses Intermediate cartridge designed for AR.

.30 carabine

The OP point is that M2 and M2A1 are the same weapon with a different stock, yet they have different damage value.

Oh yeah, my bad, i read it wrong.

Imo different damage is because one can be only equipped by assaulters and you can have only 1.

The difference is due to the multipliers based on the weapon category. The m2 is a rifle and the m2a1 is an smg. The M2 has a 10% damage bonus and the m2a1 has a 20% damage bonus.

Yet the fg42 still the +20% damage upgrade like all other semi automatic as well as being multi class like the m2
