Maybe other people feel differently about this, but to me, having large swathes of forested mountain overlooking the capture points is bad. If you play the objective you are punished by campers. Attackers won’t attack because camping in the forest is easier. You can see the entire map from some of these positions. They are too good.
I suggest a bit more gray zone, or alternatively, more cover so you can’t see literally everything from up there.
The amount of times Americans have lost against me because they have an insurmountable quantity of scope monkeys camping in their spawn doing nothing but mashing the ‘Spawn M13’ button, is staggering.
I think open and large maps are fine, I just don’t like overwatch positions inside gray zones. It’s stupid that players can sit outside the map safely and see the whole point.
I think they look cool and I like the idea of planting my troops in the wilderness or on higher ground.
I do it all the time.
My suggestion is rather, I want to see more in land fighting.
Combat wasn’t just near beaches and airfields.
I want to see battle deep in the Islands interior.
Any early war Japanese leap across the pacific should focus on English and commonwealth soldiers.
But Guadalcanal is a good choice, and the mountain features make it feel like… Guadalcanal.
This was Americas first major land battle of the war and developed intro a war of attrition.
Both sides soldiers suffered disease and malnutrition.
As both sides navy delivered reinforcements for the land battle a large air and Navy battle happened.
Yes, if you want your team to lose because you’re not on objective. People like you farming your KDA up there is aids. Makes the game worse for both teams.
