I have bought most of the premium squad in this game, have spent like 400 USD already.
Buying the premium infantry squad is the dumbest decision I have made so far.
I have played 6 hours since the new update, and thanks to the stupid AI, the premium infantry squad never got ANY kills by themselves so far, ZERO!
And it was always an easy kill fest for the enemy.
Do you want to hold a control point? Explosive pack! BOOM, 4 to 5 kills easily!
Do you want to put them behind a wall or something? They always standing around and go out of cover and die.
It is way worst than any premium MG and Submachinegun squads, at least sometimes they can get like 1 to 4 kills by themselves. This 9-men squad do so little compared to those 4 men premium squads while it is an easy target to feed the enemy.
I love this game, but these premium squads feel so much like a rip-off to me. 3750 and 4500 gold each for a premium squad that suck? Seriously? Seems like I am paying for suffering.
Is this how you treat your loyal customer?
PLZ, improve your AI, improve their aiming accuracy and firing rate.
Make them feel like your teammate who can contribute.
Not some punch bags to feed the enemy kill stream.

Who in the world buys a premium squad for the AI? You buy them for the unique things they offer. On another note. You’re complaining because the AI isn’t getting kills for you? What does this have anything to do with them being a premium squad. Just because they’re a premium squad doesn’t mean they should shoot lasers and be P2W as you are asking for.

They are rank 4 soldiers with 4 best perks and 5 stars weapons for god’s sake. Am I being unreasonable to expect them to perform at least a little better than your rank 1 counterpart?
Am I just spent 40 USD on a squad to buy a unique model or skin? That’s not what I expected.
And now they are completely useless and make the buyer suffer even more.
If my 4 men squad get wiped, ok.
But my 9 men squad get wiped and 0 kills?

Everyone is entitled to better AI. but seems no one has mentioned the AI aiming accuracy so far, and this makes your AI squads more like a liability than an asset.
I don’t need them to be OP, I need them to be useful. Currently, only dumbass or noob will play a squad with bolt- action rifles. Every chad goes with MG gunners, is that OK to you?

Among all the discussions about premium squads, I think this is the first time ever that someone expects premium AI to behave any different than regular AI.
You may have a point about lvl 4 AI being supposed to be better than lvl 1, but at the same time it is not hard at all even for free players to make at least lvl 3 squads in a short time, so expecting most of the opposition to be lvl 1 or 2 is unrealistic.
I don’t have any premium squad yet, but if I have to guess, I suspect you’re noticing this big difference because 1) indeed LMG squads are better armed and thus more likely to rack up kills, 2) Perhaps AI has an easier time managing 3 guys following you, while with 8 it gets harder for it. In example, at any given time the AI needs to choose the optimal (in its judgment) cover position for your teammates, it is reasonable to assume that the more soldiers are involved, the more chances to screw up once obvious places are already taken.

I have already know that premium squads wont be good.
The key of engineer is, you unlock every squads’ engineer roles, have ability to build rallypoints at any time, in any squads. Not for having a pure engineer squad.
Though, they nerfed semi-autos. Now having a bolt action rifle isnt so weak campared to semi autos.
You got me wrong, I don’t expect the premium squad to have better AI.
But if not for this premium squad happens to be an infantry squad, honestly, I think I will never play an infantry squad.
Why not goes with 3 gunners squad with 6 MG42?
WHY NOT GOES WITH 3 GUNNERS SQUAD WITH 6 MG42?
Except this isn’t an argument about the AI needing to be better for everyone. The title of this post is clearly about the new premium infantry squads being “terrible” and your solution is to make the premium AI for these squads better than ftp AI.

AI awareness and accuracy is one of the key pillars of the whole game. It MUST NOT and SHOULD NOT consistently outplay human players.
You get mad your AI doesn’t rack up kills, but if “your” AI gets a shooting buff, OTHERS’ AI gets it too. Would you enjoy being consistently one-shot by terminator AI squads, while the human player stays prone under a bush eating a sandwich?

So now, instead, everybody going with MG and farming the kills on AI crowds is the META.
It requires no skills at all.
Sprinting, flanking with an MG, easy multiple kills.
The 9-men squad size being the largest in the game feels like a curse rather than making things better.
It is because I realized how useless bolt action rifle in this game are only after I bought a premium infantry squad.

Coz I have no problem using this bolt action rifle myself.
How would that be a problem when most of your targets are dumbass AI?
Easily 5-10 kills per spawn myself.
But this whole squad is a joke.
I prefer them to stay at spawn and stop following me around.
I don’t know if you are super poor or sensitive or something, seems like you have a grudge against people like me who spent money in games.
But my argument was This premium infantry squad is TERRIBLE. Or you could say the all the infantry squads in this game are TERRIBLE.
I am admittedly a mediocre shot and subpar at quick reactions, for me a good part of the fun in this game is indeed flanking and finding a good spot from which shooting helpless people in the open, be them players or AI, rather than storming caps and getting instakilled every time I turn a corner.
I see my own AI as spare lives, alternative loadouts, and meat shields drawing enemy fire away from me. I don’t really expect them to be able to take care of themselves, let alone being effective fighters, besides the occasional kill here and there.

Thats why I only spend money for Premium Account and Battle Pass. These ones worth everything.
Better choose if I build and level up my own badass squad and kill as many soldier I can.
Im sure my fully upgraded Tropper II squad (7 member) caused much more headache/ rage time, than most of premium squads.
I play many games at the same time, Enlisted is not my main focus. New world, back 4 blood, deathloop, Chivalry 2, etc.
So the premium account stuff isn’t for me.

I have to treat the Ai as extra lifes too. Cause they are just that useless.
But every now and then, I just go too deep and AI cancel my command and run toward me.
In a same time the AI is a little bit funny and annoying when they are dumb.

His whole squad followed him in single-file and pointed their gun at me while they slowly walking…1 kill, 2 kill…3…etc. Rly? whole squad wiped in seconds by me…I can imagine what he felt after what happend
