I believe that the M2 carbine should be changed to an assaulter weapon in the US tech tree and instead replaced by either a t20e1 or t20e2

My reasoning is as follows,
If we take a look at all the other nations auto rifles, you’ll notice all of them do significantly higher damage than the M2C.

The Japanese Hei Automatic rifle Un upgraded will most likely do the same as a regular Hei at 11.6 damage and when fully upgraded with the 20% damage boost will do 13.92 damage.

The Russian AVT 40 when Un upgraded does 12.7 damage and 15.24 when fully maxed out.

The German FG-42 and FG-42 II both do 12 damage un-upgraded and 14.4 maxed.

Now the M2 Carbine does the lowest damage by far out of all of these at 7.3 damage when Un Upgraded and 8.8 when given max upgrades, that’s about the same damage as any other assaulter weapon hence why I believe it should be replaced by a t20e1 or e2 which can do similar damage to the other auto rifles in game.

And tiger 2 H should be available to all BR’s.
My reasoning here is that tiger 2 H actually has slower moving speed than some BR1 tanks.

Because judging by 1 stat definitely is better than looking at overall stats.

America really needs
In the future, all three camps may have full-power automatic weapons
The United States is still using the highly stable and low-damage M2

the m2 carbine isn’t available for all brs, I’m saying it should be moved down to a br5 assaulter weapon and replaced with a t20 rifle.

While the original rationale is… Misguided, I do favor the M2C being an assaulter weapon.

Best argument I’ve heard so far. All anyone else ever says is “BuT iT’s An AsSaUlt rifle”

Finally someone who agrees with me, ty

I still think it’s a carbine rifle, and at worst a PDW, which makes it a Rifleman’s weapon. But, what do I know. Not like it’s literally the same dang thing as an M1 but with a piece removed/modified

M2 Carbine does have an assaulter variant in game, the M2A1 Carbine, but its a gold weapon order weapon and no longer available in BP shop either.

Anyway, M2C should have been an AR instead but changing it now is too risky, too many people would be angry so its unlikely to happen.

Your prediction for the damage is right. You can see it in the resource docs

I did not see this and I continued to make a new topic. My point is really similar to yours

the M2 carbine fills a role similar to the STG-44…

what’s needed is a japanese rifle/carbine;
