I am having very difficult time flying planes

I have played War Thunder for 2yrs and many other flying games with both Joystick and KB/Mouse controls using Mouse Aim to Realistic. That said I cannot fly in Enlisted due to plane pitching erratically at spawn and if I am able to keep it in the air there is no way bombing or dogfighting would be possible.

Could it be my control settings? They are default. I no longer have a Joystick(broke and cant put it in my budget for a while) so keyboard and mouse is how I been playing WT from Arcade, Realistic to Simulator with good to fair success.

I have a Thrustmaster TMX Pro steering wheel connected to my PC and tried disconnecting(unplug usb) and restarting Enlisted with NO change in controls. I deleted all default gamepad bindings, no help…I havent tinkered with other bindings with fear of frustration to the point of uninstall and going back to the War Thunder grind for my WWII flying fun(Battlefield V is also installed but even newer to me than Enlisted so thats a possible literal game changer if I cant figure this out).

I truly enjoy Enlisted and like the idea of being here near the start but if I cant progress with the game I could just play catch up later as I am doing with other titles in my library.

Please someone suggest fixes, binding suggestions or let me know what I need to do to gain control of plane at spawn to stop the pitching if its normal.

PLEASE dont be an ass. I am asking for help as a 46yr old disabled wanna be gamer trying to enjoy a hobby for the last years of my painful existance, I dont need a lesson on grammer, why I shouldnt be playing the game, why i should just die now and not worry about it, forum writing or anything else that Ive heard keyboard badasses say and wouldnt say to me or anyone else if locked in a room together and dependent on each other for survival

. If I can put this somewhere that Id likely have better results please let me know, thank you for your help.

Do you use Mouse+keyboard controls in WT? Like it is in Enlisted, that where you point you fly?

Edit: Eh, my bad, i see that you mentioned it. Tbh it is little harder to use because you have to play from cockpit here.
And imo planes spawning is almost same as in WT realistic ground, i didnt had any problem to adapt to this in Enlisted. Do you play only planes in WT or ground too?

personally i think controlling in enlisted = RB + cockpit view in war thunder
i think you should rebind the control to be similar with war thunder RB

and yes the plane control is kinda bugged

I’ve flown in warthunder realistic for years. Controls are pretty much the same for me. Feels roughly the same

Happens to me too, plane pretty much goes out of control right when I spawn

Try with Keyboard and mouse. Use default controls and adjust the sensitivity till it feels right for you. Takes some getting used to. Go training grounds first and try staying in the air do a few combat rolls and manoeuvres

I would say one of the best planes to learn would be something like the P-51C-10 Allied fighter or BF 109 in Normandy it may not be that strong in game but it feels nice to fly. I wouldn’t recommend learning to fly in heavy attack craft and definitely not the FW190.

Once you get the hang of the basics you can hone your craft in different planes and try dogfighting and bombing.

Why not? The uncontrollable shaking is right on something to enjoy.

Lol :joy: you know that plane handles like ass mate.

It also sometimes flips upside down and has a machine gun firing problem.

On a serious note what is your favourite plane to fly. Handling wise?

On Normandy, BF-109 G-10, not fully upgraded yet but loving it. Very similar to the G-6 just a bit faster, very good to handle, can go incredible slow (140 km/h) and quite some tight curves.

Yeah BF 109 is a pleasure to fly. Tbh plane upgrades don’t really make a big difference. Only upgraded one to max the IL-2M but really did not notice much difference in speed or handling.

Lol have you tried the SB-2M Heavy bomber in Moscow? That thing flies like a Brick :joy: Also there is a massive bit of metal in the middle of the cockpit blocking a lot of your vision.

Warthunder is 100 times easier to fly with mouse and keyboard and to make things worse you cannot even practice to fly unless your in a match

I tried to fly but all i ever do is crashinto sea because the plane is just too hard to control with keyboard and even if you mananged to fly its not fun

Sorry what? You can fly the plane all you want in practice mode. I even learned how to land a plane there lol.
P.S In a current game it doesn’t make sense to land a plane though unless you wanna see it from the outside while on foot.

Yes i was not aware you could go back and practice i am new to game thanks for mentioning it, that will a least give me a chance to fly

That is a good thing to master the usage of rockets and bombs on your plane.
