it would be really cool to see unique squads from these nations aswell as unique vehicles from romania and hungary.

yes more nations! I would also like to see Polish forces for the Soviets and the Western Allies.

@Comrade_Sina Yes Poland would be really good.
Now this is why I ask for separate UK-Commonwealth and Italy trees.
Like War Thunder I would envisage Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Croatia and Finland as sub factions within the ‘Italy’ tech tree.
As for our Polish brothers I have suggested a combined France-Poland-Netherlands-Belgium tech tree.
The combination of 4 nations would mean plenty of native tech with little need for copy paste. BR I-III would be quite strong, personally Id end it at BR IV but if we have to go to BR V its already been done with Japan and players seem to want prototypes in game so…
The 4 nations would mean FR-PO-BENE could fight basically everywhere.
Poland would fight in the desert eg Tobruk, Italy eg Monte Cassino, Battle for France, Greece, and early and late war Poland obviously. This is where Comrade Sina’s idea comes along as the Poles could be queued with UK or with USSR to fight the Germans.
The Dutch, in addition to early and late war Netherlands, means the FR-PO-BENE faction could fight Japan in the Pacific.
All the nationalities would fight alongside each other in early war Battle for France/Low Countries.
France could join UK in Norway (Id add one or two Norwegian squads to FR-PO-BENE)
For instances where it is only one or two nations in that battle, such as Dutch in the Dutch East Indies versus Japan, all squads uniforms would change to the appropriate nation (same goes for late war Poland for instance, all squads would auto change to Polish uniforms)

Sadly, subfactions dont really seem to be a priority right now.
The best we can do is make suggestion about these nation and gather support for them.
