The thing is, they won’t if you get the jump on them. And against biplanes there’s nothing easier than to fly away, as they can’t outrun you.
And AA is:
- Barely ever used agaist aircraft
- Only capable of shooting you down if used by someone competent (which barely happens).
I’ve only gotten shot down by AA twice. And both times it took so long for them to set up and shoot me down, I was thinking of jumping after like 1 more run.
then you havent pissed them off long enough or they didnt have engineers in their team. Cause in my games they usually set them up or send up two planes to hunt me, sometimes both. Not saying that the BF110 isnt capable in dogfights but you will struggle being up against capable fighter pilots quite hard. Even if i got an fully upgraded high tier fighter i know not to mess with the biplanes turning rate as i have to get out of its zone safely without getting shot in the back to then re engage on my terms which is an luxury you dont have with the Attackers per say in that regard. How ever you pack more armor though and like you say have more power to put at the ground
For me, the most that comes up is an IL-2 or an I-153, if I’m really unlucky it’s a yak. And even though AA guns are built, they’re almost exclusively used against infantry.
The trick is to not turn or dogfight. It’s to fly at them, aim, hold left click and watch them blow up. In the 5% of cases this doesn’t work, I have plenty of energy and armor to run away with at most a yellow wingtip.
A biplane is extremely unlikely to catch a 110. And even less likely to be able to shoot it down/critically damage it with the ammo it has availible.
Where do you guys get your good armor from? First i see one guy taking shots from behind for quite some time (standing still to add even if that guy behind him seem to need glasses) with their stuka and even an biplane can crit me quite fast in an BF110 if i get caught off guard. Is it an premium paywall protection program or something ?
I guess you’re just unlucky. The trick is to fly up and down continously, so 70% of the mg rounds miss and the rest hit non-critical areas.
Just don’t let them hit engine or pilot as the rest is bulletproof.
at the sides to. I know how to dodge bullets thats no problem but when getting hit it crits quite fast like your plane is made of thin paper and one bullet can spread to 3 compartments. Sure BF110 can even take some small amount of AA bullets to but not like the IL2. Usually they just scratch my plane from distance with 2-3 bullets and my plane is performing like sht so yeah must be
Yeah, weird. I guess you didn’t pray to the spirits of the forest often enough or something. My 110 is made out of High quality german steel and simply laughs at mgs.

If you upgrade planes, you will see structural reinforcement is option, I assume the 109E comes with this by default?
This is an engaging conversation, I would love to figure out how I can duel some of you, who seem to know your stuff, on here not WT, we have to serve a bigger purpose not just duel hehe
