Hs 123 to Assault Plane

The Hs 123 A-1 is the very first plane of this game and it has been a fighter plane. However this is completely incorrect. The Hs 123 A-1 should be moved to the Assault plane class.

The Hs 123 was explicitly a dive bomber like many other planes in this game. In fact it was Germany’s first dive bomber before the Ju 87 replaced it. Despite obsolescence the Hs 123 continued to serve in a supporting role.

I honestly think the devs made the Hs 123 a fighter plane out of laziness. No other dive bomber is incorrectly labeled

Another addition is that the Hs 123 should receive a SC250 to its armament. The Hs 123 literally had the same payload as the Ju 87.

So move the Hs 123 to Assault plane, and give its missing SC250 bomb

So that Germany can run two BR1 planes with 250kg bombs at the same time?

This doesn’t seem like it would help the game in any way.

It’s about integrity. The devs lazily made a dive bomber a fighter plane just because. They should correct it

Plus its not even well suited to be a fighter.

OK, just don’t add the 250kg bomb. I’m not a huge fan of changing things that have been around for years though.

I don’t think there’s any problem with the 250. The Hs fills the role of a paper bomber, its very easy to shoot down but has a decent payload. Perfectly balanced

I don’t think any faction needs a fighter AND an assaulter at BR1 with 250kg bombs.

Move the IAR to BR3 OR remove its 250kg bomb and your proposal would be more reasonable.

I think a better approach would be a 250-bomb bomber as a new development project.

US has Hurricane with 250 lb x2 in BR I
Russian with the I-153 got better firepower and better maniability
Japan are japan …
Is the 250 are really needed in BR I not so sure even if it would be a good add. I still support that it would be better as assault plane

xD Japan needs a BR I fighter and BR I ground attacker for sure the sooner they add BR I Ki-43-II the better is the most needed plane in the Japanese faction … US also can use BR I ground attacker and USSR.
