Same for me. Started googling in 2021 and found this little fellow.
Now iā€™m hooked.

One of the best games Iā€™ve ever played.

saw someone playing tunisia campaign on yt, and i loved and then i got intrested in this gameā€¦ started my first campaign battle of berlin for german stuffā€¦( also . i tried another campaign normandy on axis , i really cant explain how horrible was my experience ā€¦allies are really dominating spamming planes)

I was big into heros and generals at the time, big germany player. I got up fairly high, unlocking the MG42, Tiger II/jadpanther etc. And during it i recall seeing enlisted ads on youtube. After a few days i downloaded it gave it ago. Played invasion of normandy and got up to around the first MG squad and recall almost unlocking the kar98k with grenade launcher. I got bored due to slow progression went back to H&G. Then it closed and i lost all my progress :frowning:

So i went back into minecraft/darksouls snd varies other games. Then like 3 weeks ago i got back into enlisted, found out there was a huge tech tree update.

I then had a funny merge accpunt where i had BR IV gewher, panzer IV, planes etc. But my troops were using BR II weapons (MP40) itnfelt weird but ive managed to complete BR II and now all my tech tree progress is BR III and thanks to premium its so fast.

Things i do miss about H&G

  1. Free for all, i wish that as soviets can also fight america (i know its not historically accurate)
  2. The music, despite being a german player i always used soviet theme.
  3. Becomimg a ā€œgeneralā€ and sending troop resources (however i didnt like the lack of resources part)
  4. Tank, sniper and aircraft only battles. (Allows you to get more experience fighting vehicles)

Cons:

  1. You can only spawn with the allocated reaources meaning you couldnt be a paratrooper often
  2. Lack of players (AI squads fixed that in enlisted)
    3.sweaty dudes who were able to do weird crab dodging to not get hit.

Enlisted pros

  1. AI squad builds numbers in game, turning 10 vs 10 into essentially 90 vs 90 at times.
  2. Artillery, mortors, flamethrowers, engineers and other classes.
  3. Infintry can kill tank early on
  4. Realism

Dislikes:
Not really much anymore, just that its hard to get good tank on tank battles. Could do with better music and also id like the system voice to be different accents to the faction you play. Eg. Its always a english voice id like it to be in german accents etc.

Oh and the tech tree idea was good, allows you to focus on certain paths and also i feel its easier to unlock
