You press 7 and it brings up the map, then you click where you want it to hit. It has a start of game cooldown, an after use cooldown, and only one player per team can have it active at once, however, so you may need to wait awhile before using it.

here’s some tips when using artillery.

  1. Don’t always call artillery spot on Capture point. Remember that most CP have roof.
  2. Use them on entrance to CP. bots will avoid artillery by standing outside of the red circle. With this, you can practically use artillery to block bots from coming to CP.
  3. Artilleries are annoying as fuck. if you want to make enemy player some bad day, just spam em by using the radio squad. tho i dont recommend it.

Use smoke! I hate when people keep dropping arty but no smoke to cover the advance

Smoke is AMAZING to help capture points. It’s sad no xp is awarded for using it. But keep in mind it can mean victory for your team, and the win bonus alone is worth it.

Also, be warry that smoke is harmful for your lungs and can cause lasting ill effects, such as:

  • looking 20 years older than you truly are
  • giving you an old witch sounding voice
  • people giving you mean looks when stuck in the elevator with you: you stink
  • illusion of being cool. We’re not in the 90s anymore.

Smoke responsibly.

I smoke about 10 times a match. RIP. Time to go to the VA for my disability check

Thinking about it, you’re now lucky if you get 3 kills or more using artillery nowadays. The potential xp you gain by having your side win thanks to smoked points far outweigh the small xp amount from arti kills… :thinking:

Very true especially when almost all of the arty I see is dropped directly on top of buildings just causing some shaky screens but not actual damage

Artillery indeed is nothing more but an annoyance ever since it was nerfed to oblivion. By staying in the back and using artillery you are only going to have kill ratio of bot… if you are lucky or enemies are ignorant enough to go in no matter what.

People have answered you, but I propose an extra just because.

1 have a premium tank squad
2 deploy it and drive close to a friendly inf spawn
3 suicide all soldiers inside the tank
4 deploy with a arty 30 second squad and get inside your own premium tank.
5 enjoy the cover of multiple arty barrages with an xp boost on every soldier and xp campaign.
6 why is this even allowed…
7 please darkflow fix this.
8 post said abuses on the forum untill they fix them.

I keep a sniper on my radio squad to spot and kill targets of opportunity when they pop their heads up, need a spotter or give the radiomen binolulars cause y’all have no clue to mark targets 90% of the time,
Marking targets helps not only the arties but also the mortars and air support and also lets teammates know when and where they are getting flanked.
