How to use bots the most efficient way? Any tactics?

Any suggestions? I only figured out two ways that I can use them

  1. put them in the cap zone with me to facilitate the process or
  2. hid them somewhere around the corner when I am engaging.
Most of the time half of my squad just dies somewhere else along the way or gets obliterated by tanks if I am playing an engineer.
Would be happy to hear some tips from you guys because usually, it’s a miracle if they make at least 2 frags. MG bots seem to do the best when it comes to frags btw I believe I had a bot one time doing like 4-5 frags with an LMG.
Just overall would like to make the most usage of those extra spawns I have

bots are usually more efficent when aren’t moving.

which usually are greater in defense ( which the K command where you can place them around corners or windows is extremely useful yet time consuming )

bots with automatic weapons ( LMG and then SMGs ) are more efficent than single/semi shot weapons ( such as fgs ( unless you set that to auto ), g43s ( m1 garands etc ) and k98s ( bolt action rifles ).

with that being said, the best use, is to use them cover to cover, or sit arounds in the flanks ( or directly inside the objective. though risky as they aren’t really keen on surviving when grenades starts flying or walking into fire ).

the other scenario as you mentioned, would be making them sit in a corner and use them as respawn.

there aren’t many tactics that you can adopt. bots are more of a manpower thing.

great to cap / decap points, and placing them around key areas to provide some defense.

but yeah, the more stationary they are, the more efficent they become.

which, occasionally might happens ( as happened to everyone ) that bots running, get shot near by, stops him self for a brief second and snaps you ( or the shooter ) in one millisecond. though it’s kinda rare.

but generally, they rush a position or where the squad leader told them to go and don’t really mind many things unless they get shot.

which the opposite happens when stationed. they tend to engage more often and more accurately.

but that’s how i use them and usually serves me good.

either that, or cannon fodders when i have to charge the point.
( great for instant grenades and active weapons/backup weapons if they are on point near me. though yeah, low rate of suitability for them. but it’s a small price of sacrifice that i’m willing to pay )

it’s like playing COH2 or men of war as the soviets.

your advantage usually lies in numbers and being fast in taking points or killing your opponents. the rests, are expandable “lives”.

Usually, in defense, I try to set marks for them because I have noticed that they actually turn in the direction you put the point.

that’s also another greater tool available for make them look to a specific direction.

too bad it’s kinda tricky to use indoors and disappears too quickly.
( at least imo )

I guess I will try to use that K command as honestly, it’s annoying to have those guys running around while I am making an AT gun or AA. They usually just cause unwanted attention to my position.

Sometimes it’s actually useful to not give them orders and have them follow you. In areas of thick foliage they can see through it and engage the enemy showing you which direction to look. Another pro tip “Marking” not only helps show your teammates where the enemy is but your bots prioritize looking where the red marks are.

They seriously need to increase the distance I can get before they ignore orders. I can’t spread them out in a defense if they ignore my orders.

If I’m building or sniping or otherwise pissing around away from point (hitting enemy rally points) then I just send my squad to point.

Yes. I used to try to individually place them to get arcing lines of fire but then if I have to move, or get killed, then half of the squad moves out of cover and gets mowed down
