That is a good question. Schemes and profiles are not the same; Schemes won’t work as profiles.

I also tried to add paratroopers by this way, but without adding vehicle. As result nothing got. So it seems that sKind, sClass, squadId and squadType not much affect to class role.

Maybe because you have empty vehicleType?

Anyways…
I noted that game creates plane. You can find info about it in team_… entities.

And in enlisted_player too.


Using paratroopers_aircraft postfix template you can make fake paratroopers squad. Without boxes and with predefined respawn points. You need to create custom plane that contains at least paratroopers_aircraft and a bit different paratroopers_aircraft_kickTimer property.

Add this custom plane to custom profile if you want to create fake paratroopers squad.

In map also need to place aircraft respawn in air, but instead aircraft need to set aircraft_paratroopers.

it would be even more epic if we could add bots to it and use a trigger that once the airplaned reach that destination, the ai will dismount from the plane and use the parachute

that would be truly something else.

to bad triggers are not a thing yet… and there are others technicalities issues… but still.

Hmmm… I need to test it later. Give this squad with vehicle for bots. Maybe they will fine works without problems. Esle probably need to remove _extends:t=“client_ai_aircraft”.

A bit more about paratroopers squads. I found way how to add real paratrooper squad. For that… Inside custom profile need to write “isParatroopers”: true, for squad. Yeah. It was so easy.


Probably need to write also “paratrooperBoxUnlocks”: [],, but there i’m not sure. Because I still got paratroopers box.

Equipment presets in box depends on seperate file.


Preset name should be similar to squadId.

This way probably still will be good for AI paratroopers, because AI paratrooper squads currently time don’t use paratrooper respawn point.
