In the game we have keyboards responsible for managing the team.
The “X” key is used to issue an order to move or attack an object. All kinds of buildings, such as sacks or cannons, will unfortunately be dismantled, but tanks will be pelted with dynamite if the soldiers are equipped with it. Molotov cocktails too.
When the bots reach the point indicated by the player, they will attack the enemies more effectively, and even more effectively when we punish them with the “V” key for the location of the enemies.
When we have the soldier selection window open, it is optionally under the “Y” key, the same as the quick soldier change. I changed my quick switch to double-click the “Y” key.
And thanks to this, we can do two things besides choosing a soldier:
a) use the “Q” key to set up a compact or dispersed pattern. When it is compact, all bots are sitting in a trench or in one room. When Dispersed, they will spawn within a short distance of each other.
b) use the “E” key to assign a behavior. And there are two behaviors. Optional aggressive and optional passive. On passive, they will shoot at the enemy when he starts firing at them.
Issuing orders in single bot soldiers. Optionally, the “K” key allows you to switch between orders for the entire team and for individual soldiers. When we do this, green dots will appear above the composition icons. And now we can give each of the soldiers a different order. The first will go to defend the point, the second will attack the enemy tank, and the third will follow us further.
On conquest, we can send bots to different points in this way and switch between them when the situation requires it. Which allows us to be in several places at the same time.
Use the “L” key to choose which soldier you want to give an order to.
Bots can be really effective and useful.
P.S. an order to attack a tank is always carried out by only one, so if you want all, for example, 8 bots from the riflemen team to attack the tank with dynamite, you need to issue an attack order 8 times.
Bots do not use anti-tank guns and bazookas.
Anyway, nice / helpful list.
Regardless im going to continue use simple X as ive got no intrest to give them orders invidually to be even remotely useful.
anyone else play conquerors blade? Sort of a similar concept, Player commands a squad
what do you think about being able to Guarantee what way they face? Very effective in a narrow cone straight ahead, exploitable from flanks/behind (will only react to flanks, rear at extreme close range). Be able to designate an overwatch/volley area, where they are efficient at locking down (Its a small area and directional, but being in this area often results in being shot)
In conquerors blade you can micro your troops to be very effective…or completely useless if you get outflanked or command poorly.
Gives you the option to focus on commanding, being a 1 man army…or both if you have the ability
if no one knows what Im talking about, perhaps I should make a Topic
Seems like its mostly ping and Match making related.
you get sheltered from Veterans until lvl 60. Which is long enough for you to think you are awesome and have fun slaughtering bots and newbs.
then you get chucked in with all the big boys and max level squads and get wrecked by shit you haven’t seen and didn’t learn to deal with when sheltered. Gets rough real fast (much like flame, phosphorus and automatic spam)
but every season (month or 2) high tier units get locked out for few weeks so everyone has the same tier units. but yeah (people cry about that too cos they cant use their precious GOLD units for several weeks)
*NOTE warthunder is mostly negative on steam aswell. People get vocal and review bomb pretty easily these days (and they may have cause to, but they still play, its still a fun game. Every game has its bad parts. Review bombing is just a way to be heard)
You send bots to destroy the enemy tank. And they run at him with a dymaite in their hand.
The guy in the tank panics most of the time.
what fun when your bot destroys the tank.
