How to greet players from far East

As Enlisted community is growing up, it is easier to spot players not only from Europe and Russia, but also - from far East.

If a player has this symbol “の” in his / her nick - it means that it is a player from Japan and can be greeted with “konichiwa”.

If a player has these symbols - 야 왜 읓 왜 (symbols with circles) - it means that this is a player from Korea and can be greeted with “annyeong”.

If a player has these symbols - 宋體体 早 谢 (in a shape of square) - it means that he / she is from China and can be greeted with “ni hao”.

Luckily there are only three nations in the Far East.

Anyways, Japanese have been around for a few years now, including here such as SexyTent.
So the Chinese. They entertained and still entertain us for years as well, especially with their 88 highscore in the zombie mode, which was totally legit. A shame that NightVoyage aka Aurora Pioneer or whatever his latest name was got banned for his failed revolution. He was a charmer.
Not sure about Koreans. Never saw them ingame and only remembered one Korean complaining together with the Chineses when the devs fixed the Dutch soldier bug.

It is nice too see more diverse playerbase. It shows that the game is growing, maybe slow, but growing.
BTW, thanks for the tutorial on greeting.

meh, boring.

Only one proper way to greet Japanese friends in Enlisted:

if he’s from china, then tell him to learn Japanese (thought that quote is so classic anyone knows it regardless of their original langage)

If he’s Korean, then tell him Korean bbq is one of the best kind of food you tasted. (bonding through appreciation of fine food)

Thank you for presenting these greetings, as they will be very helpful to the community in the future. Maybe Darkflow should have an in-game translator for the chat.

Im proud of myself for knowing the distinction between these languages before reading,my somewhat useless hobby of langauges yielded results!

BTW if you want to get fancy with the japanese and type it in japanese use: こんにちわ (hirigana) or コン二チワ (katakana).if you are typing using english keyboard to japanese characters type in “konnichiwa” and it should work

Most Japanese players use their local agent DMM’s client. They can choose any server to play, but they cannot use ingame chat. Trying to communicate with them is futile.
Also, most of the people who use Japanese nicknames are Chinese. Only Koreans use Korean nicknames.

Most Chinese players are not cheaters. The problem is that there is a large player base and there will always be that 0.1% running the day. I hope these suckers get bad asap. They are ruining the reputation of the Chinese player base

My bro, only Koreans use Korean nicknames, but chinese may use Japanese, English, and Chinese. It’s easy to recognize them. If you send 114, the chinese who will answer you 514

wrong :rage:

What is the context behind this?

Excuse my mistakes, but Japanese originated from Chinese, and many modern Chinese terms came from Japanese

Well. Russians still here.
So this three is additional.
And aussies still suffering cuz there is no south east servers.

And what about Mongolia…
Or Southeast Asia or the Philipines and Indoesia?
Far_east1

Everyone has different definitions of the Far East.
I don’t know what the British were guided by when the Malay archipelago was considered the Far East, but Australia was not.
So

They are just relaxing in their vast expanses and do not know about this wonderful game.

These are just a Spanish-American colony.

You’ve also forgotten Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Papua New Guinea…

Regarding Papua New Guinea… wasnt in the pic and honestly my definition was always Mongolia, East Russia, Upper China, Korea and maybe Japan.
