Personally, I think we should view them as Pokemon cards. The older ones are rarer, and the newer ones are less. Every two weeks, Darkflow can add new squads to the shop, and people will be encouraged to collect them for silver (assuming you pick interesting and worthwhile squads). Each squad will cost 10k silver, the same amount Darkflow gives players for selling their legacy squads.
yeah it would be interesting being able to buy more squads.
for example, a third or forth type of squad of something.
for me though a third rider, a third medic squad.
but, i can see this as being able to call two tigers II and one tiger I. ( or jagdtiger when that will come )
it can be a double edge sword, specificially if we consider that many people would avoid spending for a premium squad when they could buy an additional squad.
which it’s the reason / vibes it gave when a similar idea was shutted down.
effectively “castrating” abilities for newer players to be on par to legacy members.
or, how the snowball effect of certain individuals would become " i grinded for, therefore i should have it. and not the newer lil guy " etc.
I would really appreciate a squad customization as well, we do have proper heavy tank battalion in game for Tiger tanks, but it can only be equipped with Panzer IV and Panther XD.
I want to customize my squad with Tiger tank to be an actual “schwere Panzerabteilung”
These will just be regular squads, though, and they won’t have the premium squad bonuses in battle or premium squad weapons. Besides, the regular squads will be from normal units such as the 97th Infantry Division, 1st Marine Regiment, 38th (Welsh) Infantry Brigade, etc. All the heavyweights, such as Gurkhas, Pioneers, Marine Raiders, Teishin Shudan, OGBM, Soviet Naval Brigades, etc., will be premium as normal. If you want to play with heavyweights, you still have to pay.
My main goal is to see other units (especially the rest of the 1st Marine Division), not just the same ones we currently have.
Don’t question DF’s decisions, lol. It is logic that mere mortals cannot comprehend.
???
who mentioned these squads being premium?
i said that the majority would rather buy for 10k these squads opposed to premium ones.
granted, you might not get weapons or cosmetics nor bonuses, but you can give them what you want and have more numbers of troopers.
which that’s precisely why that’s not gonna happen.
otherwise:
A, they will eventually run out of squads to use
B, premium squads sales will decrease if you can just buy normal ones for 10k and give them whatever you want.
( which i too would like just like that, buy additional squads to get more squad for larping or run different combinations. for again, buy additional medic squads and / or riders. but it’s kinda not in their interest to that being a thing. not to mention, in the long run, post merge users wont have the same ammount of squad that legacy can, which it’s also a problem )
Why? The squads available for silver will just be ordinary squads. There is no reason why they are chosen over a Premium squad that has unique weapons, uniforms, and units.

Those are a lot of squads (1 squad per regiment). But if that proves to be too little, all they need to do is cycle the squads in the store. If people already have them, they don’t have to buy them. If people do want to buy it, they can. I think 1-2 squads per cycle for each nation should do fine.
I fail to see how a normal 1st Marine regiment riflemen squad devalues a premium 1st Marine Raider squad or a premium 506th parachute infantry regiment as you will never touch those weapons or squads without gold.
well yes,
if we consider that default squad allows you to have more weapons and more variety.
that’s the business model.
which you’re effectively negating if you can buy just another free to play squad that all you would have to do, is grind again.
again, not opposed to it:
https://forum.enlisted.net/en/t/ability-to-buy-squads-and-vehicles-types-with-exceptions-after-merge/129293
but;
because you can theoretically avoid having to buy the premium one.
if you can fill it with others.
it goes against their own monetization model.
i doubt they will allow this.
and was confirmed already:
so… if you do not agree, that’s on you. but i can’t say much other than good luck.
If a premium is good, no legacy squad will stop me from buying it. But purchasing legacy or new squads is an excellent way to gain and keep player retention. Some players have everything grinded, this will add new flavor to lineups and keep players engaged.
Imo current way of obtaining squads should be overhauled. Just allow players to buy a squad, chose it’s class, tier and icon/name (in unlimited numbers).
But that’s basically a game update 2.5 (2.0 being the merge) due to squad and weapon upgrades that need to be overhauled too.
Since there is a limit of how much prototypes or foreigner weapons they can add to the game between premium, event and gold orders. I always thought that adding “regular” premium squads with unique nationalities or uniforms but without any special weapon could be a decent alternative and a way to get extra squads to post merge squads.
That way we could get stuff like 1943-4 free French soldiers with standard American equipment, Luftwaffe troops, Gebirgsjagers, more Soviet naval infantry, polish forces under UK command, etc. So, more interesting and famous units but without the need of giving them prototype or weird weapons.
Well, they’ve basically done that already with soviet paras.
I would definitely like to have more " blank" premium squads. Perfect for all the GO weapons I’ve collected over time.
I’m still waiting for the US to get something interesting for their assaulter weapons, since the majority of their famous divisions are assaulter squads.
And?
How?
You can’t avoid it if you want to play with the 1st Marine Raider squad, so I don’t see how.
This entirely, Put the unique weapons in the Tech tree or make them a GO. Im really liking that trend too. It seems to have held so far since then. I haven’t purchased the APC squads yet, but when i do, i want to use them in a solid BR II lineup one day with my MKB’s.
i see critical thinking it’s not your strongest.
fine.
as said:
doesn’t explain how it negates their business practice
says I can’t think critically
Why are you being a prick towards me? I am asking how a normal squad negates people buying premium squads, and you keep saying people can theoretically avoid them when they can’t if they want to play with those premium squads.
These squads that appear in the store do not include weapons different from those in the game and have no premium bonuses. You also don’t unlock weapons in the tech tree by buying them; the weapons still have to be unlocked in the tech tree. Please effectively explain to me how they won’t work, and then effectively explain why each reason won’t work in detail, as I want to understand your point of view and possibly change my mind if I am missing something.
