WoT is really fair at this, you can buy any value of premium currency there. And it’ll calculate it for you fairly.
I haven’t seen that in any other game yet.
From what I know it’s typical tactic for quite many f2p games. You are supposed to have some leftover gold to feel the pressure to spend it but not enough to actually buy something useful. So you buy another batch of gold, repeat, repeat, repeat.
And judging by normal prices, that’s intended to a degree. You always have ±10 gold left after buying slots. I guess those would come in handy now.

I’m not disputing that. Otherwise the existence of a special premium currency would have no meaning at all.

Buying some base squad slots allows far more versatility than buying a premium squad.

Having as many slots as possible makes a huge difference in having fun in this game because you bring more toys to play with. Worth it
