How many bullets to destroy a heavy machine gun vs a regular machine gun turret?

Meanwhile, it only took 2 sniper bullets to disable this bi-plane, forcing the pilot to crash :rofl:.

It seems to be a lot of regular bullets, but you will have better luck when using anti tank rifles or rockets.

Yep.

This is just a demonstration to show anyone who doesn’t know.
The HMG is super tough and it takes a lot of firepower to take them out (in comparrison to the regular MG turret)

I actualy play Axis in Moscow, and i use two Gunner squads and a Assaulter one.

to me it,s nice to have two of those mosters in my army. luckly they are on my side. (most cases)

still. In my inparcial opnion, they must not be in Gunner squads. Why? because gunner squads aleardy got alot of firepower. anyway, this is DEV,s decision.

HMGs also have regenerating health.

IMO HMG are too tanky and normal MG not enough

The HMG definitely has way too much health compared to other fortifications. Regular MG emplacements (ones found on the map) take around 2-3 shots from a bolt action to break meanwhile a direct hit or two from a Pak 38 anti-tank gun can’t even destroy a HMG emplacement. The health for it could be a little lower in my opinion and from experience.

The regular MG nest needs some readjustment, perhaps an added sandbag window and a little bit more hp, as a single bullet breaking it makes it incredibly hard to use.

Yes and no. From what I’ve tested myself, it appears to me that it was made this way to encourage players to use other means and squads to deal with them. For example:

  • AT rifles will ONE SHOT the HMG. Two more shots will break the sandbag making it unrepairable.
  • AT field guns can deal with them in one or two shots.
  • Mortars can deal with them in one or two shots.
  • Smoke can be effective at blinding them.
  • Aircraft can usually take them out in one pass.

They are strong, but if you know how to counter them, they are actually fairly easy to deal with.

Yeah the HMG isn’t too difficult to navigate. Up until this video clip, I did not realize how durable the gun was to regular weapons shooting at it

A well placed explosive pack is usually a good remedy for quick removal.
