How is your match experience post merge?

i didnt bother sorting out my squads, so i just picked my BR5 squads that i had from normandy.
1 defeat i had with germans was due to the MM bug where soviets had 15 players alongside with stacks.
US was overall good experience with only 1 roflstomp from germans. 1 other defeat was cause of shit reverse d-day and i dont remember the third.
overall matches feel better and it isnt easy to farm kills/points like before. it is nice to see that i am not always on top of the leaderboard. although i have high WR % with germans, lot of those games were actually close, even though there were few roflstomps.

definitely harder, i play on BR2 and BR3 and it’s a lot more random. sometimes you get a team filled with suboptimal inteligence player(?) who are not any better than bots. i’d say they’re bots, but they’ve been in the game long before the match actually start… so they’re really just awful players.

but when you do get both team that know what they’re doing? it’s fun, really fun. and it’s substantially easier to get a match like that too!
i also love with more players on both team, we get to see more tanks and planes in action!
… usually the enemy plane player are very good at playing planes though, and nobody seems to have experience at shooting them down

overall, it’s not an instant “OMG ALL MY MATCH IS AWESOME PERFECT 10/10”, but it’s definitely better than before. at least when i rage desert it’s because i know my team is filled with [expletive] skill players instead of not having enough players.

Havent had time to experiment too much. Made a br 2 deck and kept using it cos I had to do event.

BR 2, very fun. Alot more games have been very close and ended up with clutch wins and 1 loss that was literaly a 1 second windOw that could have been a win. (in my book thats a great match)

27 wins. 1 loss but many decided in the last minutes/last point/ticket

I dont’ even know which squads are from where - more or less - whicch ar top squads from Normandy German vs those from Berlin for example.

So I’ve spent a few hours so far sorting out squads for 3 presets - 2 German, 1 USSR, and getting all the equipment out of squads - setting all troops to basic rifle only so I can have all the geear available to equip.

And of course doing perks … FIRKIN’ BLOODY PERKS - FIRKIN’ SICK OF THE FIRKIN’ THINGS ALREADY DAMMIT!

My experience is mostly good so far!

I’ve played BR2 USSR (a bit), US (a lot) and Germany (probably 15 matches). These have mostly been good matches! A few tough ones, but many have been close fought to the last point. After having WAY too many Stalingrad matches, my luck turned and I’ve seen a bit of Moscow, some Tunisia and Pacific.

I’ve played maybe 8 or 10 matches on BR5 for US and it was mostly fun and well matched.

BR5 for Germany… I have lost at least one to stacks of sweaty stacks. Otherwise it’s too one-sided to waste time on.

BR5 for USSR seems OK but I’ve only played a few matches.

Japan? I’ll wait. I’m 0 for 1 and it wasn’t close to fun.

Depending on faction, the symbols may tell you.
For example, for USSR, star is Moscow, Flag is Berlin, Round with gold edge is Stalingrad.

Other factions are a bit more challenging.

I have screenshots of all of my squads pre-merge (like the one below) so that is helpful!

I had never noticed that!! :exploding_head:

Too late now, but better late than never I suppose!! :+1:

My experience? I like the update a lot but was hoping for a bit more.

Pros: Better matchmaking options, fresh game feel with (it seems) fewer bots. I like how the matches play out with unfamiliar weapons and maps. I really like that I’m not forced to constantly use bad squads to get progress, adds some new use to the premium squads too. Perk system is top dollar, that’s how it always should have looked and functioned.

Cons: Leveling system still convoluted, with a mix of various xp types and currencies being juggled. Tanks from Berlin outclass everything, and get spammed on both Russian and German sides, resulting in too many explosions for decent objective play when either faction is involved. Hard tier system (especially since there are few side grades of anything) creates a stale meta where you’re not really building your squad, since “best in slot” is already predetermined. I would like each “Tier V” item to be a sidegrade of other tier V, instead of having most items being objectively bad.

Bad as fuck. My ideal match is 2-3 including me vs 2-4 enemy real players. Where I can start the killing without using brain and get a huge score. Before the merger chance of such game is about 60%
but now, the games I have are either 2-3 on our side vs a squad of 4 man or 8-10players on ourside which taken all the meats
