There is a little trick to have at least Italian riflemen. New Italian sqauds also come with one star riflemen with Italian faces (same for the Tommy). You can keep them and upgrade them (which is way easier and less rng-affected with the new academy system).
And iirc the Allies have a British rifle II squad.

Berreta got 40ammo, it’s way better and cheaper to upgrade (4stars and not 5 stars) . It’s the true meta and actually very good when upgraded.
Armeguerra is better than Gewehr41 in my opinion. The reload time suck so much with the Gewehr.
