Is it grind worth/golden order worth? Those 500lb bombs seems good
I like it. I didn’t specifically grind for it but ground all of campaigns. I also bought the gold order as I like it! It can definitely take out tanks and has a lot of ammo for planes and strafing.

I came from axis planes and i have only few fighters from allies (the hurri, the spit MkVb, the old p38g1 and the p51c10)… if you say that is good i trust you, the aesthetics of the golden order version alone are worth the price for me
There are better planes for dogfighting but I like the P51 as it is very versatile. It is competent against planes and pretty solid on tanks.
I usually use fw, so I’m quite used to energy fighting, I imagine the p51 technique is similar
You already have the P-51C-10.
So I will share with you a good tip.
This helped me a lot progressing in the pre-merge campaign.
The P-51C-10 and P-51D-5 are both used by the 375th fighter squadron.
After researching the P-51C-10, you need to research the P-40E-1, FP-3 and Beaufighter to get to the P-51D-5.
But you already have the P-51C-10 and its squad so you never need to use it, just immediately buy the gold order P-51D-5, which is much better, and use that one.
Having that great P-51D-5 earlier than when researching for it, will help you research the other mentioned planes faster.

That’s a P-51D-5.
You’ll find that the 500 lb bombs are a night and day difference over the 100 lb bombs. Practice your dive bombing.
Check out my latest replay if you’d like to see it in action as a fighter bomber. The Germans didn’t put a plane in the sky the entire round so I just kept doing ground attacks. I killed ~75 and most of them were with the 500 lb bombs. Germans stopped our ground forces at cap#2.
