To me it seems slightly higher than half the score.

For most xp you wanna use as many different squads as possible as often as possible
Vehicles are kinda dogshit at actually getting lots of xp/silver, after you get past few thousand score
Just playing agressively with infantry and making sure your spawnpoints are printing all the time seems to be the best bet
