I dont see any in game method to do it and after clicking on the sandbox link, it directed me to a chaotic site.

the " chaotic " site it’s where people make custom mod missions. and also hangars available for players to download.

Well… Currently time hangars with other mod maps.
I hope that they will soon/in next updates will add another section/area for hangars in sandbox portal.
Currently time we have only 2 custom hangars:
Dinosavr38 - Billy Background.
Schyrikami - Moscow Campaign.
To instal one of them you need click to download sources and you will see page with code…
Yeah… Not very comfortable.
And then copy it and paste it to .blk file.
After that you need name your file to hangar.blk and put it in userGameMods.
Here is file: hangar.blk.txt (15.2 КБ) with code from second custom hangar.
(Don’t forgot to remove .txt).
Another way - make your hangar, but yeah. It will be harder and need basic editor knowlege.
You create map. Put objects that you can find in link that ErikaKalkbrenner sent. And then find your mod name folder in userGameMods, make copy scene.blk and rename it to hangar.blk. Put it outside from modname folder. It should be in userGameMods.
ALERT:
Using common hangar with only one background (Like Billy that by Dinosavr38) you can lost some features!
They’re will be back when you remove file from userGameMods.
It happened because author didn’t add some special objects.
Most important thing that you can lost is vehicle customization.
Other: You will just unable see selected items/soldiers/vehicles.
Dinosavr38 hangar that I sent before contains only one background.
And with it you can’t see items/soldiers/vehicles (as result can’t customize vehicle with decals & decorators).
Schyrikami hangar is much better, but not best.
hangar.blk works fine in userGameMods:
Maybe I will upload it. But currently time it still in WIP.

It’s kind of insane that they would announce that as an “update feature” when you basically have to make your own mod to add it. This should be a button on the home screen.

worst, no guides on how to make it 
members has to find and figure stuff out from them selves through datamine.
and mostly those who has alot of time.
