How does purchasing the event squads work?

I missed two daily tasks to get the German paratrooper squad, both of which I almost finished, so I should now be able to purchase these two tasks for about 100-150 gold combined. Yet when I want to purchase the squad, they ask me the full price of 1250 gold (!) as if I didn’t play past two days as well.

Send a screenshot please. Because normally a level should cost 300 gold.

Hi,
So it is the game design. Events have changed that you don’t need to play everyday but if you miss out a squad, the price will be higher.

That’s… not a welcome surprise.
Especially in these circumstances - it would be nice if such important changes were clearly communicated in the devblogs.
