I’ve been trying to take down planes with this thing to see whether it’s just a gimmick or not and have yet to even hit a plane, did destroy an APC though. Any tips on how to lead and accurately hit planes with this thing?

the luftfause is better at anything else but planes ( and well… tanks )
( i mean, you can use it on plane too but it’s a bit tricky. )
first and foremost,
the new luftwafust is great at obliterating new halftracks, and light vehicles.
great at anbnihilating groups of infantry in close quarter, and take out planes.
to take out planes, you need a bit of practice.
especially since the delay of the rockets, and the trajectory.
so, if you want to use it effectively, wait for planes to get in a straight line, try to follow that line, and shoot when they are pulling in or out of the strife.
but… you kinda have to hope that the user on the plane will not dive bomb suicide, and / or doesn’t turn too much.
otherwise you’ll have to put a bit more of work.
which… it’s not ideal. nor really that rewarding.

Ironically so far the only kills I’ve been able to get with it are APC’s and M13’s, other than that I’ve been absolutely failing when it comes to planes, more often then not I fire way too early and completely miss.
I lost my luftfaust post merge, among with a bunch of other GO weapons, it’s a meme weapon, if you hit a plane with it you are an extremely good shot!

You’re sure you can’t find em? I had to check and dig through my old squads to find most of my gold orders and event items, can’t say I’ve lost a single one. If they did just disappear I’m sorry that sucks.
you could try to remove all of the weapons on the squads in reserve ( through the button ).
but… squads inside presets will be affected to.

You can try to practice on the bombers called by a radio squad - they fly in a straight line so you can learn the tracectory of the Luftfaust. I managed to shot down two of them so far.

Plane too far? Aim high, plane too close? Aim low
That is exactly why disarm reserves should not affect presets, I probably haven’t lost them but over100+ squads to manually search or play the game.
@James_Grove Hello, a lot of my GO are on soldiers who are not in my presets for H, M,L and BR4 tiers…Could the disarm option be tweaked to not affect preset squads? ( I know my GO I have in there already) it’s the missing g43 kurz, condors etc which are most likely on a soldier I did not equip post merge.
