How do I know if Battle Eye is working?

I am still crashing and am wondering if it has something to do with the new Battle Eye program. Does anyone know how to tell if it is turned off and how to turn it back on?

Usually anticheat issues would just error out with some message saying it’s not working right, not outright crash
Have you tried verifying the game data?
Update all them drivers?

How do I do this?

On launcher you click the wrench icon then check files (maybe diagnostic files will tell you something too?)

Or on steam:
Right click the game, properties

Verify integrity

For drivers, depending on what GPU you have usually you go to geforce experience (or whatever its called now) or AMD adrenalin and update from there
The things usually will yell at you if your drivers are old

I did this, but it says everything is up to date.

I don’t have Geforce or AMD; I just have vanilla.

The crash even happened when I was trying to watch a replay.

you can see if it starts with this window

and in task manager you can see its process

what do you mean vanilla
You have a gpu made my someone

This?

It was running in the task manager while I just crashed.

So Intel laptop graphics?

What graphics settings are you using. I found some of them to be rather flaky. With that gpu I’d be looking at keeping them set low.

For example, I was having random hard locks on my rig with an RX6950XT. It turns out that the Global Algorithm setting was causing it. I don’t have a screenshot to hand, but it’s a slider-type setting. I had it on max and getting issues, but when I lowered it to halfway, the crashes stopped completely (knocks on wood).

that is really shit gpu…

do you run this on dx11 or dx12?

I have been running a minimum for a few months now. I used to run customized and managed to get 30 fps, but I prefer 60 fps.

I will try this.

I feel like I am playing a PS2 game lol

I run this on dx11; dx12 is an instant crash for me.

It’s quite possible your device simply can’t handle the game
Two of my old PCs ended up with heat problems (after I endlessly kept adding more crap inside)
You could try making sure its getting enough cooling.

things overheating usually means random, non-descript crashes
After I upgraded to 4x ram sticks, my last PC would crash while playing Killing Floor 2…but only in summer…and only if we skipped trader breaks fast enough. I fixed it by getting better fans for my desktop case

If it’s a laptop I’d visually inspect the cooling vents, make sure they are not clogged (or that you don’t put the laptop somewhere that gets them blocked)
Or try playing in a cold room, see if it takes longer to crash

I will try this. Surely my laptop can handle Enlisted if it can handle RS2, right?

or he could just get hwinfo or some other hardware monitoring tool and check temps under stress.

this could easily be it. specially with intel graphics.

btw i would suggest downloading newest intel drivers
