How do i create bomber support like in stalingrad? And how do i set the location for it?

Hello comrades!

I wanted to ask for a detailed tutorial how to spawn bombers at the beginning of the game (berlin).
Also please, how do i set the spawn location for them, flying path and also where they shoud drop the bombs?

Its nice to know how to add planes. Sadly the tutorial you sent me does not show how to add bombing runs, which i need

ask @Aurora_Pioneer_I he wanted to do something similar. i don’t really know if he achieved the result he wanted though.

i’m not sure, but i think not. hence might not be available to do at this point.
( but i could be wrong )

Probably it’s not possible.
I’m not 100% sure.

Just when you call bombers… Game generate many objects:

  1. Main entity for bombing (it contains info about who attack some area).
  2. Target area (maybe just visual effects for radar).
  3. Bombers.

In editor… You can’t set bombers id in 1., because after level restarts, objects id will be different.
Soooo… Game/bombers will don’t know where to drop bombs because of unknown id in 1.
Maybe here is way how to enable airdrop, but IDK.

@tommyZZM (TommyZZM) Sorry for ping, but do you know anything about how to make bombers drop bombs in editor?

Hmmmmmm… I think you can do it…
Entities in effects section, but they will work only when round starts, because you cant config time when effect starts.

Also they arent real explosions and will not affect to terrain.

So… if i want to create real bomb craters, can i somehow drop bombs there naturally which will stay as craters forever? Like if i let a bomb explode, how can i make the creater stay?

Yes, but currently time… If i remember correctly…
You cant create bombs and other projectiles.

So if i take a bomb from “equipment” let it detonate, the crater will stay if i restart?

No. It will not stay.
Because craters and generated objects don’t adding to scene.blk file that cointains map code.

Have NPC guns fire explosives at specific locations.

There are two ways,

one is auto_MG42 (SKC_105 and shipgun_105 in Normandy) modified gunshell (gunshell);

second way is to use the moon campaigh turret (including automation AA in the Pacific Ocean), you can change the gun turret, in this way to shoot more accurate, which can shoot rockets at the same time, but is relatively heavy

If you just need to create explosives, you can use the first way more easily. You can use the second way if you need more features, such as making physical out map guns to shoot at the game area, allowing you to control when they fire and cease fire through the ammo box

You can try out the latest version of the Big Action Mod, where German fire preparation is made using the second method, which also displays the correct weapon name

In the Big Action Mod, when the Germans break through the fourth sector, they are met with Katyusha fire from the Soviet Red Army covering the church on the Kamenka River, also made in the second way
