Frustrated ! Can’t attack if you play as Japanese, seems stupid if I want to attack on pacific I have to be American.
Well… You can, but Japan have low chances that they will attack.

It’s like asking to German to often attack on Berlin lol. Japanese were defending their country what did you expect? And btw with the shitty stuff they got it’s better to not attack, they are better defending.

Well, technically it’s not that they are defending their country, but more of territory they annexed. But otherwise, yeah, it’s probably better than current Japan doesn’t get that many attack match-ups XD

Back in my day, we only had one invasion map in Moscow and Germany attacked every time!

Moscow was the place where the momentum changed hands so both sides attacking is fine. Everything after Midway in the Pacific was an American offensive.
Well, in case of Guadalcanal it is not strange that Japanese placed attacker side because after first unexpected attack airfield was captured immediately and their ground forces’ mission was take back captured airfields.
The attacker/defender ratio is weighted to make the battles usually happen in a historical way, e.g. Americans usually attack on Normandy and Pacific. You might wanna factor that in, if it affects how you want to play. But the Japanese do attack sometimes.
Well yeah there are maps in Normandy where Axis attack too, I was just saying that it makes sense that the majority of the time the US attacks, especially on the two islands that we do have.

I don’t understand the posts here about who attacked who. The battle of Guadalcanal went on for 6 months. Both sides attacked and defended. It wasn’t US land or Japanese land, it was populated by locals and theoretically ruled by a British protectorate.
BTW a great premium squad that I would love to see for the allied side: Local Solomon Islands coastwatchers (radio squad)
The japanese do have a low chance to be on attack, but it’s usually just painful when that happens since you have to fight americans with better guns and the advantage of being the defenders
